🥐 The F1rst Take @thef1rsttake.us Salt bread has been popping up all over the Bay Area lately, and there’s a new spot worth checking out in Downtown San Jose! The F1rst Take is a cute, bright new café serving up creative salt bread flavors and drinks. What we ordered: 🌰🐓 Truffle Aioli Chicken Salt Bread 🧀🧄 Cheese Garlic Salt Bread 🍰☕️ Tiramisu Salt Bread 🥛🍵 Milky Matcha 🥑☕️ Avo-Gato The Truffle Aioli Chicken had a truffle flavor that really stood out, with a more savory and salty taste. The Cheese Garlic is made with garlic butter and cream cheese. It was nicely balanced and flavorful without overpowering the bread itself. My favorite was definitely the Tiramisu Salt Bread! Filled with mascarpone cream and coffee, I loved the combination of salty and sweet! 🤎 For drinks, we tried the Milky Matcha made with ceremonial matcha and the Avo-Gato, a Vietnamese coffee topped with their house-made avocado ice cream! They have lots of different salt bread flavors to choose from, so there’s something for everyone! Keep an eye out for their seasonal items too. 🥐 💌 Thank you Celine for the warm welcome! @thef1rsttake.us 📍 The F1rst Take 76 E Santa Clara Street San Jose, CA 95113 Follow @itsmickeywang for more yummy finds! ❀ #thef1rsttake #saltbread #sanjosefoodie #bayareaeats #bayareafoodie by @bayareafeast

We just found one of the BEST Pad Thai spots in the Bay Area! We visited @lungo.eatery in Mountain View, a new Thai restaurant that opened just four months ago, and we were so impressed by their unique and modern take on Thai cuisine! The restaurant is stylish, beautifully decorated, and perfect for a night out. We started with the 🦀 Crab Fried Rice, which was packed with flavor and came with a generous amount of crab. If you’re a big fan of steak, you have to try their 🥩 Isaan New York Steak! It came sizzling on a hot stone plate, and the steak was incredibly juicy and tender, and it paired perfectly with the Sticky Rice that comes with it. We also tried 🐟 the Crispy Branzino, a deep-fried butterflied branzino served with green apple dressing and brown rice. This dish was so unique! The fish tasted incredibly fresh, and the dressing really brought all the flavors together. But the star of the night was definitely the 🦐 Pad Thai! The presentation was stunning, and the tiger prawn that came with it was huge! The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the prawn really took the dish to another level. This was easily one of the best Pad Thai we’ve had in a long time! To end the night, we enjoyed a delicious 🍫 Chocolate Lava Cake with Ice Cream. And don’t skip their 🥭 Mango Sticky Rice! It was beautifully presented, not too sweet, and absolutely delicious. We’re so glad we discovered this new Thai spot! It’s easily become one of our favorite Thai restaurants in the Bay! . . . . . #thaifood #thaifoodstagram #bayareafoodie #bayareaeats #padthai by @bayareafeast
