Finally got to tick paying a visit to Providence Canyon off the to do list🥳
And while it is really beautiful and SO neat to get to see layers of soil that we wouldn’t otherwise, this place is a stark reminder as to how important sustainable agricultural practices are. Because there are clear consequences to using and abusing the land. The consequences might not happen today or tmrw, but as you can see, they do add up over time.
P.s. fun fact soil is technically sand, silt and or clay, generally a mixture of all three but what you buy at Lowe’s or other big grocery stores is not technically soil, it is “media”. Because it is made of things such as vermiculite and coconut coir and peat and perlite, etc. Just a fun little horticultural fact for you there😂😉🥰 by @bayleebee3

A little late😅 lol but kiiinda turned 27 in the nineteenth century (last week)🤪😂🥰 and in gratitude for another year in the books I want to pay it forward and raise funds for an amazing little local rescue that takes cats and kittens from the local shelter (in the CSRA), fosters them until they are big enough to get their shots, microchipped AND fixed, and then adopts them out into loving homes 🐈‍⬛🏡 now obviously vet bills are not cheap and neither is all of the food these growing kittens and sometimes pregnant mamas too, have to eat. And don’t even get me started on the cleaning supplies. Rocket’s doesn’t profit from their organization at all, any money that they come into goes straight toward helping the next batch of cats and kittens. And so if you feel so inclined to perhaps buy me a birthday drink or a birthday coffee or something, it would mean the absolute world to me if you would contribute that money to this fundraiser❤️🫶💓💖 thanks friends!
P.s. please look out for those who are more vulnerable than you! Make sure it is safe for you too, of course, but help the turtle cross the road! In the direction that they were going, they’re probably more navigationally savvy than you🤪 by @bayleebee3

Reminder that it doesn’t take some great heroic deed to help your community. And it doesn’t matter if no one thanks you for it. You still made a difference. If you want a village you have to be a villager. Take care of yourself and each other❤️ we are all just walking each other home. by @bayleebee3

Here is a collection of footage all taken from my local state park. Public lands are worth protecting. Every single one of these creatures is worth protecting. The environment is worth protecting. There are some petitions at the link in my bio you can sign to let the government know that you are paying attention and that this is something you care about.
And here are just a few pages you can follow to get more educated on matters in the meantime:

Let me put yall on to @justjesswoodland ‼️ I am still in disbelief/pinching myself that I got to meet her last night 🫨🥲💓 she is every bit as authentic as she is online in person and as you can see in the videos her music is so honest and witty and passionate and of course cleverly written and beautifully sang. I can’t believe how lucky I am, she even played my top favorite song of hers, it was such a special night 🥹💖 might I suggest clicking on her handle and having a scroll through her page, and if you like what you hear there I think The Show and Brothers are a great intro to her music and you can find them and more on your preferred music streaming service. Remember to support small yall, businesses, artists, etc. 🫶 by @bayleebee3

2025 made me a master naturalist, gave me a new town, the opportunity to pursue horticulture again, a job I love at a museum, and made me a cat mom of three. It also gave me skills like welding and wiring and sugarcane grinding using 1800’s equipment 😂😮‍💨 so with a very full and grateful heart, goodbye ‘25. I’m excited to see what 2026 holds💖 by @bayleebee3
