This piece challenged our dancers in the best way. It encouraged them to go beyond the steps and truly bring a character to life, telling a story that connected with the audience every time they took the stage.

Watching their confidence, performance quality, and artistry grow throughout the season has been such a joy. We are incredibly proud of this group and all they accomplished with this piece!

I have to share this dance because it will forever hold a special place in my heart🤍

Molly and I began choreographing this piece back in August. We instantly connected with the song and came up with the idea of celebrating the memories of someone we love and carry with us, even after they’re gone.

When I lost my cousin Sydney in October, this dance took on an entirely new meaning. From that moment on, it felt like this piece had been created for a reason far greater than we ever could have imagined. I know some of my dancers in this piece also experienced the loss of someone they loved this season, making this routine even more meaningful for all of us.

To my dancers, thank you for bringing this piece to life with such grace, vulnerability, and love. You honored its story so beautifully, and I couldn’t be more proud of the way you embraced every moment.

And Molly, thank you for creating this with me. What started as an idea became something so much deeper, a beautiful tribute to Sydney and the people we miss and the memories we cherish🤍

Dance has a way of expressing what words never can. I hope everyone who watches this piece feels even a small part of the love behind it.

This year has held a lot of highs and lows, and the past month has been one of the hardest. I’m reminding myself to slow down, be present, and take each day as it comes. Dance has always been my safe place, and tonight was the first time in a long time that I let myself move freely, let alone hit record. Thanks dance 🤍 You rock by @bayleesaunders_

FLDC Season 2 – Our First-Ever Nationals!
What an unforgettable week. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Every routine delivered its strongest performance yet, and we brought home some serious hardware. But above all, we had FUN.

I’m beyond grateful to do what I love alongside the most dedicated staff, passionate students, and supportive dance families. I’m still on cloud nine!

Heading into Season 3 more inspired than ever and ready to create. Words can’t fully express the pride and gratitude I feel after this amazing week and season! I love you all to the moon and back a trillion times 🤍 FLDC family is forever family 🤍

If you were to ask me what being a dance studio owner is like, I would tell you it’s wonderful but tough at times. If you were to ask me on a deeper level, I would tell you that it is truly the most rewarding and fulfilling job. Getting to be a part of so many childhood memories, helping shape young people’s lives, getting to be their cheerleader and mentor are only a handful of things that come along with this job. I will tell you though, it can be mentally and emotionally exhausting. Feeling like I’m not doing enough or could do more. Questioning every “big boss” decision I have to make. But it’s days like recital day that show me that it is all worth it. The good and the tough. Watching our dancers shine on stage, laugh with their friends, smile as they exit the stage proud of what they just did, hearing the crowd erupt in applause after routines. I feel so blessed to have the village I have that help me along this dance studio journey. I couldn’t do it without them and the amazing families that have become a part of FLDC. Words will never be able to express my gratefulness.
