Hi everyone!

The daughter of one of my dearest friends in France has launched a crowdfunding campaign to get her organic permaculture farm and catering business really off the ground.

Her name is Chloé, and three years ago, she and her partner Hugo created Les Jardins de Solune – a self-built, mostly off-grid permaculture micro-farm, near the shores of Lake Geneva. The farm has an organic fruit, vegetable and herb market garden, a shop with herbal teas, soaps and cosmetics (all 100% organic), educational workshops, events including concerts, and u-pick & foraging activities that end with a shared meal.

For some time now, Chloé has been testing a vegetarian catering business: meals prepared on the farm and served on site at festive monthly events, local markets, or delivered to private parties. There is one hiccup – to cook at the farm, they need access to potable water.

To get around this issue for now, Chloe and her partner must transport water to the farm in jerrycans, from their home which is quite some distance away and on the other side of a road. To solve this crucial problem, they have launched a crowdfunding campaign to cover the cost of connecting the public water supply to the farm. The estimate is about €4000, and they plan to do a considerable part of the physical labor themselves.

Here is the donation website: bit.ly/waterjardin (see link in bio) and the farm website: https://www.jardinsdesolune.com Both are in French but if you open them on Chrome, just click the tiny Google translate icon in the far right of the URL field, select English, and voila!, the whole website will be translated! They also have a Facebook page: @jardinsdesolune

They’re about half-way to their goal and have less than a month to go—can you help Chloe & Hugo make their dreams come true? No amount is too small!
