Okey — Game Description

Okey is a traditional Turkish tile game, usually played by 4 players. It is similar to Rummy because players collect and arrange numbered tiles into groups and sequences.

The goal is to be the first player to arrange all your tiles into valid combinations and finish the round.

How to Play Okey — Simple Version 🎲

Okey is usually played by 4 people. Here’s the easiest way to understand it:

1. Set up the tiles
* There are 106 tiles: numbers 1–13 in 4 colors, with two copies of each.
* Each player gets 14 tiles.
* One player starts with 15 tiles and plays first.
2. Find the Okey (joker)
* One tile is revealed as the indicator.
* The tile with the same color and one number higher is the Okey.
* Example: If the indicator is red 5, then red 6 is the Okey.
3. Your turn
* The first player discards one tile.
* On your turn, you either take the tile discarded by the previous player or draw a tile from the pile.
* Then discard one tile.
* So you normally finish your turn with 14 tiles.
Make combinations
Runs: consecutive numbers of the same color
→ 🔴 3–4–5–6
Sets: same number in different colors
→ 🔴 8 + 🔵 8 + ⚫ 8
5. Try to organize all your tiles
Your goal is to have your 14 tiles arranged into valid runs and sets.
6. Win 🏆
When your tiles are completely organized into valid combinations, you discard your extra tile and announce that you have won.

Example winning hand:

🔴 3-4-5
🔵 7-8-9
⚫ 10-10? ❌ (not valid because a set needs different colors)
🟡 10 + 🔵 10 + 🔴 10

#WorldNomadGames #chicago A little piece of Kyrgyzstan, right here in Chicago 🇰🇬❤️
#
I learned and recreated this amazing choreography by @keonemadrid Keon Madrid at Millennium Park, Chicago — the same choreography performed for the Opening Ceremony of the World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan! 🔥💃🏻

I couldn’t be in Kyrgyzstan to experience this special moment in person, but I didn’t want to miss the trend — so I brought a little bit of that Nomad spirit to Millennium Park. 🏔️✨

Proud to represent my culture, my roots, and my love for dance wherever I am in the world. 🌎🇰🇬

Interested to shoot this trend !? dm me please ..

“You don’t have to be where the moment happens to feel connected to it — sometimes you can carry your roots wherever you go.” ❤️

Thank you @keonmadrid for the inspiration! 🔥
