So....
Erm..... We took a baby to Dublin. I promise we didn't steal it. We actually...... Made it. The baby, and to Dublin. We non-rev'd with a 7 week old. We got his first passport stamp.

For those that don't know. Back in March on our motorcycle trip across the country, we hit a bad part of the pavement on a highway. Nicole fishtailed and nearly lost control, I fish tailed and did. I fell to my left at 60 mph and broke my leg in two places.

I had surgery and am now still recovering from the break. First I'll say an amazing thank you to so many people who helped. Old friends, current friends, family, strangers and of course Nicole! People really came out of the woodwork to help. Not something I'm good at asking for.

Second; I see life as a great adventure and I'd rather use my time doing what I can to experience it, explore it and not waste it. I knew the risks and I still do. I have ridden since the accident and will continue to ride. My only regret right now is that we didn't finish the trip. Nicole and I have promised that we will get back to Fort Worth and finish what we started.

Third I'm reminded of the Chinese farmer parable called maybe. His horse runs away, the town says how terrible. He replies maybe. The house returns with two additional horses, "what luck!" "Maybe." Well that has been my experience so far with the leg break. It's unfortunate. We have good savings and work for companies that take care of us, so no concerns there. I haven't been able to do many of the things I love to do; skate, run, be active. But I've had time off to look for condos and start packing. I've had weeks of pain, and sleepiness nights. But I've also had time to see friends and family. Overall it's been like the parable.

I am extremely thankful for the family, friends, and people that have helped out along the way. I'm still recovering and not back to work yet but hopefully strong enough in the next few months.

Well I was finally "influenced" by an influencer... They made homemade pasta look so easy, I had to try it! It was actually fun, and more importantly delicious!
