Breaking Down the Game one Possession at a Time

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

If you’re being recruited and you decide against a school, don’t just text them and disappear. Call & Thank them. Not because it’s easy, but because that’s the appropriate way to handle these relationships

Shane Battier did this as a senior with Izzo, Fisher, Roy Williams, and Dean Smith, and decades later they still remember it, and he’s making sure his son Zeke does the same

How you handle the tough conversations says more about you than your talent ever will.

Rajon Rondo cuts off social media for his AAU team on game weekends. Not as punishment, but because kids who care more about who tagged them than winning or losing have a problem staying focused.

Put the phone down on game day. Visualize, read, or clear your mind instead.

“You don’t know how serious YMCA basketball gets” 😂 bro brought the kids to the sideline and still got his runs in. Real life sacrifices!

This is what a true ball-is-life mindset actually looks like.

Coaches aren’t making decisions based on who they like, who’s highly touted, or who they have a good relationship with. Every single decision is a team decision & it’s about winning. Period.

Dan Campbell on what separates good from great: mindset, and refusing to let anything be “too small.” How you do one thing is how you do everything.

Davion Mitchell just gave two Heat rookies the seatbelt treatment 🔒

I broke down the film — the stance, the hands, the physicality, the mental part nobody talks about. This is what being an “on-ball menace” actually looks like.

Coach K hung up on Shane Battier 3 days in a row.

Because Battier had no idea how good he actually was & Coach K wasn’t going to let him stay small. He said: “I’ll stop hanging up on you when you stop hanging up on you.”

Great players need delusional confidence that they can achieve their greatest dreams. This isn’t arrogance, it’s just the willingness to picture something bigger than what’s comfortable.

Everybody remembers the Ja Morant poster dunk against Marquette in the 2019 NCAA Tournament but the blind pig action, the empty side, and the late rotation by Marquette’s big that made it completely unguardable are the parts worth studying

Episode 2 of Breaking Down the NBA’s Most Classic and Historic Plays breaks down every layer of Jayson Tatum’s game winning buzzer beater against Brooklyn.

From Jaylen Brown forcing the help rotation, to Marcus Smart’s perfect pump fake and read, to the exact pass placement that put the ball where only Tatum could catch it and Kyrie couldn’t stop it.
