I did this beautiful photoshoot almost a year ago, and even though these are some of the most beautiful pictures ever taken of me, i found myself picking apart the way i looked and the way my body looked. it’s my job to look good on camera and it’s kinda ironic that i look at myself and see the exact opposite.

i’ve noticed lately that many people, some that are very close to me, some that are not, are struggling with the way they look. I know what it’s like to look in the mirror and only see the things you wish you could change and what it’s like to pick yourself apart.

just remember that if you’ve ever compared yourself to a model or someone you see online, just remember that sometimes the person you wish you looked like is wishing they looked different too.

don’t spend your life picking apart your looks and your body. you deserve the same kindness you give everyone else. one day we’ll all look at ourselves and see what the people who love us have been seeing the entire time. 🤍

This weekend an experience I’ll remember forever. We spent 9 to 14 hours a day filming, running on little sleep, and somehow I’ve never felt more energized. It’s so magical to step onto a set and create with people who love it just as much as you do. A massive you to our amazing director Jeffery, Curtis, Booker, Lori, Heather, all of the incredible helpers and assistants, my fellow actors, and the amazingggg makeup artist, Dakota. I’m so excited to see where every single person ends up in life, because I know I got to work alongside some unbelievably talented people. today is my birthday.
my birthday has always been bittersweet for me. my life has never been easy. there was pressure, sadness and lots of pains i had to go through in my life.
but there were beautiful moments too. the more quiet ones that reminded me life is still unfolding and i’m still becoming who i’m supposed to become.
it’s important to learn that you don’t have to have everything figured out to keep moving forward.
so today i’m grateful. for everything. i’m grateful to have another year to keep dreaming. always appreciate the time you’re given by God because someone your age lived their last day today. be grateful and make life worth living.

Happy Birthday @bbar9252 !!!

Seventeen years ago I held you in my arms for the first time, and in that moment my life changed forever. Becoming your mother has been one of the greatest blessings and deepest joys of my life.

Watching you grow has been like witnessing something extraordinary unfold right before my eyes. I remember the little boy who once held my hand, asked endless questions, and filled our home with laughter. Now I see a young man standing at the edge of his future, filled with talent, determination, and dreams that are beginning to take shape.

From a young age you carried something special inside of you. Your creativity, your imagination, and the way you step into a character and bring stories to life show a passion that is rare. Seeing you pursue acting and modeling with such courage makes me incredibly proud. The opportunity you earned with NYFA is just one of many signs that your dedication and talent are opening doors.

But what makes me the proudest is not just what you do. It is who you are.

You are thoughtful.

You are resilient.

You are determined.

You are brave enough to pursue your dreams even when the path is uncertain.

Those qualities will take you farther in life than any spotlight ever could.

As you turn seventeen, you are standing between childhood and adulthood. The world is beginning to open up to you, and there will be opportunities, challenges, and experiences that shape who you become. As you walk into this next chapter of life, there are a few things I hope you always remember:

Believe in yourself, even when others do not yet see your vision.

Protect your character, because integrity will always matter more than success.

Work hard for the dreams that matter to you.

Be kind to people, even when the world feels unkind.

Choose friends who support your growth.

Stay curious and never stop learning.

Do not be afraid of failure, it often leads to your greatest lessons.

Stay true to the person you were created to be.

Take care of your mind and heart.
