Help us bring Follow Your Beat to life! ˖ ܁♬⋆.˚𝄞

A Salvadoran-American DJ.
A record store worth saving.
A hometown worth celebrating.
And a story rooted in Esco. 💿✨

Follow Your Beat is Karina Ramos Villalobos’s (@bbimsalvi) upcoming short film as an SDSU MFA filmmaker, inspired by the music, culture, and community that shaped her.

We’re raising $4,650 through Seed&Spark to make this film happen. The money will be spent on equipment and art design to wardrobe, music, and feeding our cast & crew.

💌 Donate. Share. Follow along. Every bit helps us get closer.

🔗 Support the film through the link in bio.

FOLLOW YOUR BEAT a film by @bbimsalvi

At its heart, this film is about an aspiring Salvadoran-American DJ striving to save the neighborhood record store that shaped her life before family tensions destroy her last chance. Follow Your Beat is rooted in culture, music, memory, and community.

AND we’re officially in pre-production and looking for collaborators, crew members, sponsors, partners, and community support. If you’d like to be part of bringing this story to life, we’d love to hear from you.

Please share this post, follow along, and help us spread the word. 🤎 More to come. 💋🎶

This is a community film. 🫂
