Back in the day, we used to go to all manner of outdoor movies. Screen on the Green remains the undisputed champ, but our neighborhood movie nights run a close second.
.
Somehow, we've never made it to movies in Cherry Hill Park, courtesy of @fallschurchgov. Perfect weather tonight for some quality time with the little guy. by @bbjfauxto

Forced Family Fun™ took us to the National Arboretum this morning. Three of us have phone cameras, so I handed off @campsnapcamera duties to the little guy. We all had a blast taking pics of our delights.
.
This bonsai is over 400 years old and survived Hiroshima. The framing is the teenager seeing it. He hasn't shown me his shot yet.

Little guy was fascinated with the instincts and collected pics of them. He first noticed this little bee, so he gets credit for my framing here. Can't wait to get the Camp Snap pics off the camera for him! by @bbjfauxto

We watch a lot of baseball in this family, but we only get to @nationals Park once a season. First time solo to the park with the young one.
.
He got to see a show. 10-1 Curly W. Dylan Crews put on a show in right field with two warning track outs. James Wood hit a dinger a section to our right. Great game; great times. by @bbjfauxto

Portland, Maine in delightful weather led to getting lost on identical streets and laughter and coffee shops with quirky names and crate digging vinyl and midday beers and gift buying for those not on this adventure and late night tacos, poetry, card games, rooftop vistas and great food before the weather turned to New England wet and we stubbornly trudged through morning yoga for more coffee, more food, and more hugs before going our separate ways.
.
Bonus recommendation for the art museum. The collection is well worth the price of admission.

Happy birthdays, my friends. Thank you for the invite and a wonderful weekend with your friends and family. by @bbjfauxto

We had quite a lot of activities and adventures. Waterfall slides and snorkeling with sea turtles and bioluminescent microorganisms and rip tide red flags and cafecitos con avena and getting skunked with the pescador and mofongo and Medalla and every day in the pool... by @bbjfauxto

En el Viernes Santo, esta cafeteria estuvo cerrado desafortunadamente. Tengamos a ir a McDonald's hoy. 😢
.

Espero que regresar pronto con mi familia. taken in Cafetería La Diferencia by @bbjfauxto

Loving this view and sea breezes every day en La Isla. Probable Reel coming by the end of the week, but I need a song to fit the vibe.

Bad Bunny is too easy. I've heard some good music this week, but without Shazam, I'm having a tough time picking. by @bbjfauxto

One-on-one undivided attention time on adventures is hard to come by. Self-imposed sports chaos leads to very few free weekends between five different sports year round. In the past month though, we've had a blast, just the two of us.
.
We've visited memorials around the Tidal Basin, gone to Ford's Theatre, and on Friday, went to a school-sponsored hip hop show
.
Afterwards, we got messy burgers in an otherwise empty spot. "Mmmm. This is a tasty burger!" by @bbjfauxto

I've been a big fan of @missmargoprice since I first bought "Midwest Farmer's Daughter". Her current tour and album leans more into the "This Machine Kills Fascists" side of the country and folk genre. She's an outlaw through and through.
.
She is a gem, and last night's show was great. Fun psych rock blues opener. Plenty of songs from her new album "Hard Headed Woman" and a stirring cover of Dylan's "The Times, They Are A-Changing". Thanks for visiting. Can't wait to see you again!
.
Her banter was A+, mocking her white trash neighbor Robby and spitting fire at our current government. No notes. taken in 9:30 Club by @bbjfauxto

@renwickgallery always has a moment in time where the whole museum is an exercise in whimsical curation. It's the perfect place for an hour or two to explore a hyper focused exhibit.
.
Right now, it's all about state fairs and the competitions within. There's no arcade or food trucks and very little neon. There are quilts aplenty and pieces by supremely talented folks from coast to coast.
.
Highly recommended as a solo excursion or a visit with a like-minded friend or date. I took so many pictures, but I want to go back with my better half. #nightmode #RenwickGallery #teampixel #takenbypixel by @bbjfauxto

To spite the weather ahead, I bundled up enough for an afternoon run. These flamingos make me smile every time I pass them. Y'all ready for this? #onmyrun #takenwithpixel #portraitmode #teampixel by @bbjfauxto
