Hurricane kick 👣

Powered by @shapesmag

Located at @intownstarsgym

The hurricane kick has become popularized by video game franchise Street Fighter in which its protagonist Ryu executes one of his signature moves tatsumaki senpukyaku-when translated means tornado whirlwind leg. The hurricane kick is initiated from backside stance and proceeds as a cheat 1080 with 3 outside kicks (often two outside crescents and ending in a wheel/hook with the primary distinction relying upon hip position at the time of landing) and is usually preceded by a k-step to optimize the preservation of momentum during its cheat setup. This skill has also had several other appearances in media including other video games, television, movies, anime, and manga. My question is whether its performance in real life inspired its use in the animated realm or did the enthusiastic daydreaming of content creators lay way for martial artists to challenge themselves to reenact the feat? Let me know your insight down below ⬇️ ⬇️⬇️

My first tricking sampler, engravings.bbb, is LIVE now!

🔗LINK IN BIO

This video serves as a right of passage in my tricking journey and an ode to my small corner of the Atlanta tricking community. Training alongside some of the best is often a humbling experience; while it seems afar off, I yearn to join the “dub dub club” and become a “triple corker” as several of my friends already have. There is so much for me to learn, but progress happens one step at a time. No matter how distant the gap between you and where you want to be is, all you can do is make the next move forward-even if that be just starting. If you are reading this, this is your sign to begin/keep chasing your dreams.
