☆ finding my spark again on booksta ☆

a lil bit of a vulnerable yap session:
i felt myself slipping away from enjoying bookstagram. not gonna lie, i’ve honestly have been in a creative slump for the longest time, which in turn my reading slump followed. i’m slowly getting back into the groove of things and making content. sometimes i see the numbers and my engagement, and it does get to me. engagement on here is so wishy washy. if you’re not posting what’s trending, the algorithm won’t be on your side, and that just sucks. then, i can’t help but beat myself down for it.

so i’ve really been enjoying life off the screen lately. && some of those things i’ve been loving: rewatching my favorite shows and movies, coloring, puzzles (train track puzzles and murdle), & journaling!!

then i also remembered that each and every one of you who have interacted with my posts, liked, commented, and shared are the REAL ones <3 and for you guys, that motivates me!!

this is your friendly reminder to post whatever you want, read whatever you want, and take breaks from social media whenever you want! <3 and as always, treat yourself !!

♡ still thinking about sf’s first romance bookshop ♡

did someone say tea time and books in the city?? never thought that would be my vibe, but it is now and i’m not mad about it.

@thelovepotionlibrary is one of my favorite indie bookshops in the bay area and i’m grateful for @letyourwiferead taking me here. some things i love about this shop are that their books are categorized by sub-genres, their lychee green tea is phenomenal, and the ambience is so cozy and welcoming.

if you’re planning to visit sf, add this place to your list!! <3

arc review: the last goodbye (blue sky bay book 2)

happy release day!! <3 thank you laura and @valentine_pr_ for sending me this e-arc!!

rating: 4.5🌟

tropes: workplace romance, city girl x small town boy, grumpy x sunshine, enemies-to-lovers, he falls first

briar sinclair arrives to blue sky bay with one mission - get bass bennett to sign a multi-million property deal to sell his restaurant so she can impress her father. the biggest caveat, bass is the grumpiest man ever and is not open to selling or making any deals with briar. briar does everything in her power to make this deal happen. so she books a staycation in blue sky bay until bass agrees. she’s eager and determined, and this fire ignited in her causes so much friction the tension is insane.

again, laura never misses with her small town/found family romances! there is quite literally no book i don’t like. the banter between these two is addictive and when you’re about to read their clash the tension is so sweet and flirtatious. one thing, i couldn’t surpass was their nicknames. like magpie? other than that, i appreciate a no third act breakup! & the cherry on top was bass’s group chat texts. in every laura book, there’s this hallmark of group chat texts and it gives a good giggle to see the found family among the characters and friendships.

if i can put you on a small town/found family author, let it be miss laura!! i promise you’ll be as addicted as me <3
