TEMPLO at Hauser & Wirth, Los Angeles. It feels so timely in retrospect, we did this before Barbie the movie came out and blew open the box office with its brilliant mockery of patriarchy. For TEMPLO, I created a sacred space that celebrated the divine feminine, the earth, human connection while also challenging and deconstructing patriarchy and I inserted it into one of the biggest international (and corporate) galleries in the world. We need more of this. More divine feminine energy. More pushing boundaries and challenging patriarchy. The art world has become super conservative - we don’t need more dealers selling product we need more artists affecting human consciousness and change.

The Feminine Void, 2025

On view at @tsa_la as part of El Portal, a group exhibition exploring ayahuasca, indigenous wisdom, and visionary healing. Link in bio.

This was the first drawing I made after an ayahuasca ceremony. It arrived as a vision of the sacred feminine as womb, void, and portal. She is the space where all life begins and ends. She is both the geometry that exists as the foundation of life and the mystery — She is both structure and surrender.

In Amazonian tradition, ayahuasca is known as the Grand Mother — a feminine intelligence that reveals what is hidden, heals at the root, and brings us back into right relationship with ourselves, each other, and the earth. That energy and wisdom can be accessed through this drawing.

The Divine Feminine teaches us the interconnectedness of all life — that everything is sacred: the earth, its waters and creatures, our bodies, our memories, our relationships. She restores a sense of belonging and reverence — a way of being that resists the logic of extraction and domination.

In a time marked by patriarchal violence, authoritarianism, ecological collapse, and the persecution of Indigenous and Black bodies, the return of the sacred feminine is not symbolic — it is medicine. She offers a path toward balance, healing, and collective remembering.

The Feminine Void is a foundational work in my practice, which spans drawing, sculpture, video, and ritual — all in service of reclaiming ancestral memory, reweaving body and land, and honoring the unseen forces that guide us home.

A scene from the opening of OFRENDA. June 22, 2026.

The Huni Kuī sang inside a pyramid in the oldest quarter of Ibiza. Songs of prayer to the earth, to the ancestors, to the living and the dead — carried from the Amazon into Phoenician stone.

At one point, while Samira was introducing the family, she called on Tanit. The Goddess of Ibiza. The circle erupted. The next day she said it was a powerful moment to speak to Tanit on this part of the island. It felt like an activation.

While Samira was speaking, guiding the people of Sa Penya, we were in ceremony again. I looked at Batani, her son Bukun and cousin Yube inside the pyramid. I looked at Sarvia. I looked at Samira. And I thought: four women. One structure. Samira as guardian and bridge. Batani as medicine woman. Sarvia as curator. Me as artist.

This is what we built beneath everything I planned it to be: a Temple to the Força Feminina.

How powerful. How necessary.

Divine justice is what spirit knew that night and every night. Divine justice is what Tanit knows. What this island has always been, beneath every layer of forgetting. Divine Justice is the language of the Goddess.

She is always watching.

Tanit, be with us.

Today is the Equinox. Light and dark are equal in the sky. I descend into the tomb and surrender. The Sun catches Tanit on my heart and she is illuminated. My body. My heart. This flesh. The Ancestral Light of Tanit. The Dark Goddess.

Balance between dark and light.

You might think this was an effect but it’s not. It’s real girl, just like my body. 100% Goddess.

Happy Equinox may your path be illuminated.

May your devotion be surrender.

Tanit, Goddess of the underworld — my path, illuminated as descent. I bow before you.
