I found myself in Dallas
I guess that was inevitable after 9 years
I left Kentucky eager to learn about what people thought of me for who I am, with no preconceived notions
But I learned instead what I think of me
And I think I’m pretty resilient
I learned it’s ok to be alone
That often the most difficult seasons yield the best changes
That authenticity will draw the right people into your life
So I found community
My community is what makes this goodbye the hardest
(And honestly, weirdly, I loved the weather)
I’m grateful for it all
I know the Lord guides my path

About six months ago Abby decided it was worth uprooting her life in Dallas and moving cross-country to be here in DC…she’ll officially be a Washingtonian this week! I’m proud of how brave she is for making these major life changes and grateful for the support Abby’s friends have shown for both of us.

To the Dallas folks who have been so welcoming to me and such great friends to Abby, thank you!! I can only hope that DC is as good to Abby as Dallas has been to me. We will definitely be back to see y’all real soon but please come visit!!! taken in Dallas, Texas by @bbyself

It has come to my attention that I haven’t brought to ig’s attention that I am moving to DC in May to be with my bestie @trader_joe3

But this post is an open letter to Kitty, my fluffy buddy that can’t come along 🥲
(Note: He is NOT dead)

The cat distro system brought me this fella in 2020 with a nothing but a flea collar and too much attitude.

Kitty was a companion when I felt alone - distant family, breakups and a generally whack immune system have isolated me more than I wanted. He was a source of comfort in tough times but added so much joy during great ones.

I feel like Angela losing Sprinkles but am so relieved my buddy is going to live happily with his bestie @general_smills
