❄️ $168,888 AND COUNTING. ❄️ This is more than equipment. This is opportunity. Together with our incredible granting partners, BC Adaptive Snowsports has helped put more than $168,888 worth of adaptive snow sports equipment into the hands of clubs across BC. Behind that number are people. 🎿 An athlete getting on snow for the first time. ❄️ A child discovering that skiing is possible. ❤️ A parent watching their child find confidence and independence. 🙌 A volunteer having the right equipment to help someone experience the mountain. 🏔️ A club being able to say “YES” to more people who want to participate. $168,888 represents thousands of moments that can change lives. And we don’t want to stop here. We want to do MORE. More equipment. More clubs. More access. More participants. More opportunities to experience the freedom, confidence, connection and joy that come from being on snow. To our granting partners: THANK YOU for believing in what is possible. To our clubs and volunteers: THANK YOU for making it happen. And to every athlete and participant who gets out on the mountain: This is why we keep pushing forward. ❄️ Let’s get more people on snow. ❄️ Let’s break down more barriers. ❄️ Let’s create more moments that matter. 📣 HELP US SPREAD THE WORD ❤️ Like this post 📲 Share it to your Stories 🏔️ Tag a club, organization or person who believes everyone should have the opportunity to experience snow sports. And if you’re a potential granting partner, donor or organization looking to help create more access to adaptive snow sports — we’d love to hear from you. $168,888 and counting. Let’s see how far we can take it together. ❤️❄️ #BCAdaptiveSnowsports #AdaptiveSnowsports #AdaptiveSkiing #AdaptiveSnowboarding #AdaptiveSport AccessToSport InclusionThroughSport SportForAll MorePeopleOnSnow SnowSportsForAll by @bc_adaptive

Back when Susan Hughes was our Executive Director, her husband, Scott, then Snow School director at Cypress, stepped up to coach our small but mighty race team, helping launch what became the DSABC Disabled Ski Team. Scott continued to give back to BCAS for years as a CSIA trainer, Summit facilitator, and constant source of encouragement. Scott passed away on January 2nd and will be deeply missed. 💙 Celebration of Life 🗓️ January 30th ⏰ 2:00 PM 📍 Highlands United Church, 3255 Edgemont Blvd, North Vancouver by @bc_adaptive
