Canadian sailor Daniel Solodchenko (WVYC) took the 3rd position out of 9 athletes in iQFoil at the US Youth Championships held October 9-12 in Long Beach, CA (USA). In 29er, the team of Averi Kuo and Alex Lott (RVanYC) was the best one among the three Canadian boats in action with a 7th position out of 20 boats.

Happy with the sailing I did in the fully foiling races but unfortunately spent a bit too much time stuck in the water in marginal wind so not my finest result. Sail Canada announced that The Regional Cadet Support Unit (Pacific) (RCSU (P)) has been awarded Sail Canada’s 2025 William Abbott Senior Trophy as Sail Training Program of the Year.

"It is truly an honour for the Regional Cadet Support Unit (Pacific) to receive this recognition from Sail Canada," said Lieutenant (N), Candy Arthur. "This award reflects the dedication of everyone who contributes to our sailing program — from the adult staff who mentor and support our sailors, to the cadets who return weekend after weekend to teach, coach and mentor one another. At its heart, our program is youth leading youth. A Sea Cadet can first step into a sailboat at 12 years old with no previous experience and progress through our program to become a certified sailing instructor or race coach, developing confidence, leadership and teamwork along the way.”

Two medals for Bruce Millar and Robert Britten ⛵ Deux médailles pour Bruce Millar et Robert Britten

Canadian Sailing Team member Bruce Millar (RVicYC) and Robert Britten won two medals in the past weeks in 2.4mR.

First, Millar won the 2.4mR Canadian Championship held September 11-14 at the Royal Victoria Yacht Club, while Robert Britten took the third position. A total of 23 sailors took part in the event, including 20 from Canada.

Then, at the 2.4mR North American Championship, held September 15-19 at the Royal Victoria Yacht Club, Robert Britten and Bruce Millar respectively won silver and bronze. A total of 23 sailors, including 20 from Canada, took part in the event.

Le membre de l'équipe canadienne de voile Bruce Millar et Robert Britten on remporté deux médailles au cours des dernières semaines en 2.4mR.

Tout d'abord, Millar a remporté le Championnat canadien en 2.4mR présenté du 11 au 14 septembre au Royal Victoria Yacht Club, alors que Robert Britten a terminé au troisième rang. Un total de 23 athlètes ont participé à la compétition, incluant 20 du Canada.

31 parasailors at the 2026 Mobility Cup ⛵ 31 para-athlètes à la Coupe mobilité 2026

A total of 31 parasailors took part in the 2026 Mobility Cup held September 8-12 at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club. In the Gold Fleet, Brian Peckover took the first position and Andrew Davis, the third place. In the Silver Fleet, it was a Canadian podium with Quinto Zimmerman in first place, followed by Stephanie Smith and Ron Buckle. A total of 26 Canadian athletes took part in the event.

Un total de 31 para-athlètes ont participé à la Coupe mobilité 2026 présentée du 8 au 12 septembre au Royal Vancouver Yacht Club.
