Inktober Bretober Day 16 - Finished Sheet Ghost
Except I'm probably doing a background. I've scanned it as is. So if I screw it up at least I won't have TOTALLY screwed it up.

Halfway through Inktober and I'm feeling pretty good about it. I've never gotten this far, but the consistency has been doing me a lot of good and I'm happy with the work I've done so far this month.

Another stippled piece from a couple of years ago that I never posted static images of. The more I look at this one, the more I love it. I really need to get back to more stippled insects. I never thought I'd get so into entomology art but here we are.

This series of 4x4in stippled pieces is exactly what I need right now. Until someone decides they desperately need one of them, they'll live happily on my own wall. I love the kind of eclectic, witchy, naturalist, nature lover vibes they give to my space. Hanging them in a grid makes me feel like I'm building my own vertical trinket drawer.

Inktober Bretober Day 11 - Rescue
I didn't really like this prompt and decided to take it a different way. I started this moon a couple years ago. So here I am rescuing it from the sad fate of an unfinished project. Finally finished.

I'm really loving this 4x4in series. Until someone adopts one of them, they'll live happily on my own wall. I love the kind of eclectic, witchy, naturalist, nature lover vibes. Hanging them in a grid makes me feel like I've got a stippled trinket wall starting to take shape.

I almost screwed this one up. I got all the way to the end of this piece, looked at it, and realized what I had done wrong. I was devastated. This took so much time and I loved it so much and there was a glaring mistake that I couldn't unsee at that point.

The problem was with my base drawing. There was a shape in its head that just wasn't quite right. I kept staring at the problem and was close to abandoning it and never sharing it.

I stepped back for a few minutes to clear my head. When I came back to it I found such a simple fix and I can't believe I almost trashed this piece. I stopped looking at the problem itself and started looking for the solution. To see the solution, I had to look at the piece as a whole. I felt like an idiot for not seeing the fix that was right in front of my face immediately.

I am just so happy with how this turned out.

12x18in Ginkgo Leaves on Bristol Smooth paper using multiliners and copic markers.

I actually finished this weeks ago... I've just been working in the journal sketchbook since then and haven't done much else. Getting back to it though. Snowy and windy day.

Progress on the wings of the adult antlion. I'm a little obsessed. Bouncing around between projects has been helping me a lot. I've got a side project going right now that takes absolutely no mental energy. It's been the perfect thing to jump to when my brain needs a tiny break from the sheet ghost or antlion. I'll post that one when it's done but it still has a long way to go.

The moon is framed and on the wall with the rest. I love this little collection that I've started. I know I'll eventually run out of room on that little section of wall, but once the grid is filled out I can start putting these little 4x4in pieces in smaller accent spots around my apartment. Maybe near my bedside table or on a knick back shelf. I want them everywhere!

I have a first round of prints being delivered at the end of this week. Once those are in, I'll get them listed in my shop.
