During House Meeting, @bchigh_king visited The Embrace on Boston Common to honor their patron, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The memorial honors the love and partnership of Dr. King and Coretta Scott King, who met in Boston and spent their lives working for civil rights. As a Jesuit school, BC High forms young men to live a faith that does justice, and few lives embody that more fully than Dr. King's. A large group of people stands in front of the "The Embrace" sculpture, located in an outdoor urban setting with trees and buildings in the background. by @bchigheagles

Bounce house obstacle courses, cornhole, mini golf, chess, and Twister filled the afternoon at the annual Arrupe Fall Fest. One of three social events Arrupe hosts each year, Fall Fest gives students a chance to socialize with friends and meet new ones outside the classroom. Even Principal Dr. Docanto got in on the fun with a round of ping pong! by @bchigheagles

🤝 Building connections, sharing expertise, and strengthening the Eagle network!

The Eagle Business Network gathered on campus on September 24 for an afternoon of meaningful conversation, networking, and professional growth.

From exchanging insights to creating opportunities for mentorship and collaboration, the gathering highlighted the power of the BC High community across generations.

A special thank you to Co-Chairs John Mulcahy ’99 P’32 and Tony Farrington ’94 for organizing this month’s meeting, and to Ben Marshall ’94 for leading an insightful networking tips & tricks session! 🦅

We hope you’re able to join us for our next meeting on Thursday, October 22 at Nixon Peabody.

Yesterday, BC High celebrated the Feast of St. Thérèse of Lisieux with an all-school Mass celebrated by Fr. Brian Strassburger, SJ, co-founder of Del Camino Jesuit Border Ministries. He and fellow Jesuits serve migrants on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border, and each February he hosts our students on the Brownsville Immersion trip.

Fr. Strassburger spent the day on campus. He taught Models of Leadership and theology classes, and over lunch he met with students preparing for this year's service immersions through the Hyde Center for Global Education and the McNeice Center for Ignatian Identity and Formation. He spoke with them about serving alongside people on the margins and called them to act.

Thank you, Fr. Strassburger, for your ministry on the border and for spending the day with our students. by @bchigheagles

It was great to see so many of our 100+ clubs, affinity groups, and intramural sports represented at today's co-curricular fair. Students can star in a theater production, celebrate their culture with classmates, or compete against friends in flag football, and many will find something they didn't know they were looking for. We can't wait to see what you pursue and create this year, Eagles! by @bchigheagles

Nicholas Day, author of one of last year's most celebrated books for young readers, visited BC High to speak with Arrupe Division students and students from @fontbonneboston. His "A World Without Summer," this year's Arrupe summer reading book, won the Boston Globe–Horn Book Award, was named a Sibert Honor Book, and made best-of-the-year lists from The New York Times Book Review and NPR. After spending the summer with the book, our students heard directly from the author about how he researched and wrote it. Thank you to Nicholas for his time and to Fontbonne for joining us! by @bchigheagles
