Last day in Budapest recap- Shoes on the Danube Bank, a tour at the Parliament, Market Food Hall for a cabbage roll & sauerkraut, the Ruins Bars, a piece of Dobos Torte, and an evening boat ride on the Danube. The 3 am wake up call this morning came a little too early. What a fun and educational adventure with my favorite travel buddy. Budapest! Enchanting with a history that dates back at least to the year 97 when the 2nd largest coliseum was built in Obuda. So cool to see kids playing on the ancient ruins. Enjoyed a food tour with our guide Zoltan - who enthralled us with stories about growing up in a communist country (he’s not a fan) and the many adventures he had in his life. Our last stop on the secret food tour was the butcher shop his grandparents owned. Went to Fishermans’s bastion for some amazing views before ending the night with some Italian food. Businessmen at the table next to us (Brazilian, French, German, Korean, Mexican) all communicated flawlessly in English. And I’m thinking to myself- wow…the majority of US students can’t even read English at the 5th grade level. Why? taken in Budapest, Hungary by @bchrunr

Last few days of the OG @seawitchtikibar and the @carolina_beach_murals team was well represented. Bittersweet but looking forward to the Seawitch 2 iteration, possibly by late 2027. You can tear down the building but it’s the people and the music that make the magic.

Was invited by @wbceviche owner Laura to talk about growing up in Panama 🇵🇦to a group of students from Cary Academy. Lots of different experiences (military brat➡️ me), 2nd generation Zonian Jody @buyerschoicerealtyatkw and new friend Rudy Francis who also grew up on the Atlantic side. The kids asked great questions as they prepare to travel to Panama next spring. So fun and the food was delicious as always. #ceviche #panama #empanadas by @bchrunr
