Who said an abs, arms (and quads) circuit can’t happen from one single position with one set of weights?

Steal this series for the next time you don’t have a mat, are in a rush, or only have weights. Or, just come see me and we’ll squeeze it in on a lunch break together 🌱🧘🏼‍♀️ @thestudio.bend.

•10 reps of: front raises, lateral raises, upright rows, tricep kick backs, and either serve the platter / open the platter. (50 total)
•Separate each different movement with a kneeling hinge in between to activate your quads.
•Add the weighted side leans to show a little love for the obliques.

Archie’s 1st Grand Prix!

Symbolic of how this first year has zoomed by faster than anyone could’ve ever conveyed.

This past weekend we celebrated his birthday and tomorrow, we’ll be waking up to a one year old.

Everything Archie has done and continues to do is BIG...

He’s strong.
He’s loud and proud.
He’s fast.
He’s nonstop.
And he’s full of energy.

I never realized an infant could carry confidence. But Archie always knows what he wants, where he wants to go, and somehow manages to make everyone around him smile while doing it.

If the next year goes by as fast as this first one, these are just a handful of things I hope I never forget. ❣️

1.) The way he claps.
2.) Blows kisses.
3.) And waves hi hi / bye bye.
4.) Again, the way he always knows exactly what he wants.
5.) And stands on his tiptoes (to see and get whatever it is that he wants.)
6.) How he has to catch his breath mid-giggle.
7.) The way he puts his head down in order to crawl faster.
8.) His little curls in the back.
9.) Those baby blues!
10.) How we were convinced he’d be bright blonde, yet he somehow arrived looking exactly like himself.
11.) His love for music.
12.) The way he smiles and puts his face in front of whoever’s speaking to be a part of the conversation.
13.) The fact that olives are his favorite snack?
14.) How he’s already proving to be a good listener.
15.) And how his three favorite things are his three favorite words: Mama, Dada, and Ball.

This past year has been the fastest yet fullest of our lives.

New parents, that’s what everyone should tell you. Not the negative “just you waits”, but that it’s fast, yet full.

What a privilege it’s been to watch our boy become exactly who he is… Our loudest companion. Our fastest little racer. Our confident, happy, strong baby boy!
