Last month I sailed around the Channel Islands once again and qualified as a Day Skipper. I ended up being the only student on the 5 day course which meant one-on-one training from mooring in busy marinas, to plotting daily courses, and prepping the boat ready to sail. It was an exhausting and yet amazing experience and I felt a genuinely sad to say goodbye. Can’t wait to be back on a sailboat soon 🫶🏼 taken in Jersey, Channel Islands by @bcraines

Last week I spent an unforgettable 5 days & 4 nights on the Sun Odyssey sailing yacht with an amazing crew. We sailed a total of 126nm from Jersey - Granville - îles Chausey - St Malo - Plouër sur Rance - St Cast - Minkies. My favourite was the nighttime sail out of St Malo Harbour to Grand Jardin Lighthouse taken in Jersey by @bcraines

We journeyed south by train to Fort Kochi. We were taken by Tuk Tuk to the fishermen’s market, learnt about the diverse cultures and their long held traditions. #fujifilmx100vshooters #fujifilm taken in Fort Kochi by @bcraines

An absolute MUST when you travel to south Morocco, is to visit the beautiful old town of Essaouira. The people, the food, the architecture, the smells and sounds harmonise making it a little slice of heaven on earth ☺️ as you travel south of the city, you’ll come across spectacular views of the dunes meeting the ocean and maybe you’ll spot a camel or two (there is a herd of about a 100 roaming the area) #morocco #essaouira #marrakesh #fujifilmx100vshooters #desert #souk #medina #summer by @bcraines

I’m always so happy when family and friends come to visit as I get to take them on a tour of some of my favourite places this end of Morocco. We call it ‘The triangle’ where we travel from the coast, to Marrakesh, then to Essaouira and back south.
