Here I am. A dad, 205Lb, 5’11”. I just had a baby, and joint replacement surgery at 35 years old. I’ve lost some weight. After my last competition I was lean 238#. Now I’m 205-210, post brand new knee. My cousin felt the need to comment on how skinny my legs looked, while I scooted around on a cane. I’m proud of who I am and where I stand but knowing people are taking note that I don’t look like a competitive bodybuilder when I’m done competing in bodybuilding sucks. I’m doing the best I can by @bd_alltheweights

Part IV: Long 2022 Reflection Post Warning. Keep Scrolling if you don't want my "Mind Barf".

What I'm grateful for:
I have an amazing support system. My family, friends, and everyone who truly cares about me showed up for me in a big way. I would not be at all Ok without the love and support I was given this year. The REAL one's were there, the one's who didn't belong, found their way out of my life in their own poetic fashion.

The Point:
I'm not one for Resolutions, but life has, despite an enormous amount of suffering and work, provided me with a fresh start. I no longer fear obstacles as I have overcome every "life shattering" setback I've been dealt for years. I have suffered, as anyone would have, and put in the work, to put myself in a position to evolve from "surviving" to "thriving" in the new year. Yes, I have scars, and have felt every loss and failure I've encountered deeply. Although this can suck at times, it’s because I truly care, and have a big heart, I don’t want to be anything else. I have a new love, new career, and new love for life I wouldn’t have experienced without having to persevere everything thrown my way.

I'm finally in a place I can grow in the ways I choose, and not just how life forces me, and I choose to leave this world a better place than how I found it, and am grateful to be where I am.

I love you all, grow and become the great people you are destined to be, there is no reason to do anything less.

Here is to crushing 2023! by @bd_alltheweights

Part III: Long 2022 Reflection Post Warning:Keep Scrolling if you don’t want my “Mind Barf”.

The Bad, Part II:
Right when I thought things were getting better, a tooth I broke in a car accident in 2021 decided to die, a root canal and crown bill of over $2,000 was painful to deal with for a guy who had been employed for maybe one month out of the entire year. Still I found a way and got myself a new gold tooth I love.

Shortly after that I lost someone I loved. No, they didn’t die, I had trusted my heart to them and they stabbed me in the back and stepped outside of the relationship. Obviously a painful experience. I lived with this person and was forced to work every minute of overtime I could manage and scrounge every penny I could to escape the volatile situation that had evolved between us.

After months of working myself to the bone to free myself from someone who has no place in my life I managed to find myself a new home and the means to end the lease we had.

I labored on my days off to either pack or move, and finally, exhausted, I was home. I let my guard down, and literally cried tears of relief.

I relaxed too soon, one week I lived here and my beloved furry best friend Chance passed away, yet another gut shot, that I certainly was not prepared for. So much hurt!! by @bd_alltheweights

The Good, Part I (For the sake of Chronology)
I took what was a shit hand in life, worked my ass off and turned poop into gold, literally, by winning two gold medals at my first bodybuilding competition, despite less than ideal circumstances. On top of this, I found and secured a great job I started the Monday after the show. Things were looking up. by @bd_alltheweights
