"My latest screen print, which best embodies the formal principles that are most important to me. It was also a real challenge for me in terms of both design and production. I showed it for the first time in May at a solo exhibition at BD Gallery (Warsaw, Poland)".
-Sainer

Przemysław Blejzyk (Sainer), born 1988 in Łódź, lives and works in Gdynia. A multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of painting, digital and generative art, and public art practice. His current work centres on formal concerns and strategies of vision, through which he explores the relationship between the analogue and digital worlds, seeking to construct a new language for painting.

He has exhibited solo at the National Museum in Gdańsk, the Künstlerhaus in Vienna and the Centre d'Art Contemporain in Rouen, and in group shows at the Petit Palais in Paris, Grand Palais Immersif, the Kordegardia – Gallery of the National Centre for Culture, and the Hive Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing. taken in BD by @bd_gallery_

AXEL VOID
UNTITLED

acrylic on canvas
150x120 (x2)
2024

Axel Void (Alejandro Dorda Mevs) @axelvoid
Teacher, curator, and multidisciplinary artist, born in Miami in 1986 to a Haitian mother and a Spanish father. Raised in Andalusia, currently based in New York.

Void addresses memory through personal and cultural archives. His painting draws on photographs and on the histories of minorities who rarely find a place in dominant narratives. Identity appears here as a continually negotiated process, shaped by migration, family, and inherited memory. Painting becomes a tool for reworking this material — not to preserve it, but to test its mutability and fragility.

“In my practice, I seek to create moments, situations, interventions, and objects that either procure an experience or become the experience through different media — such as photography, film, audio, music, editorial work, archival material, drawing, sculpture, or painting. From subjective journalism and storytelling to other narrative abstractions, I explore subjects like human behavior, societal structuring in individual/collective concerns, and the absurdity of existence from a playful and thought-provoking affect.”

Glossy imitation ceramic over the hydraulic cement tiles.

When you were kids, you squatted - before understanding this term–what used to be a cultural center called “The Barrel”. At first, you would paint the walls and hang out, but you ended up clearing all the rubble with shovels you stole from a construc- tion site, cleaning up the place, changing the lock, and nicely kicking out the junkies. Sometimes, they would come in to smoke base in a side room; you were OK with this as long as they didn’t clean their fingers on the walls. There wasn’t a corner that didn’t have a piece up. Some kids came in to suck dick for money for what would add up to a bag of candy at the Barraca: a store filled with candy and party plastic toys. You stole electricity from a light post, the same one we used to connect a TV antenna to catch music channels from other countries; you mostly came up with weird infomercials. Really, it was Ramon doing this. Ramo taken in Warsaw, Poland by @bd_gallery_

ʙᴅ ɢᴀʟʟᴇʀʏ is pleased to invite you to Hotel Warszawa Art Fair. In Room 115, you can see works by two artists:
Jan Dudek @_janekdudek
EGS @oldhelsinki

Today we want to introduce you to EGS (b. 1974), based in Helsinki, who works across sculpture, painting, and installation, developing a practice shaped by repetition, cartography, and language. Familiar forms are abstracted in his work until they edge closer to sign than image.

His exhibitions include Kunsthalle Helsinki and ARCO Madrid, while pieces from his practice can be found in major public collections such as the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma (Finnish National Gallery) and the Helsinki Art Museum HAM. Glass, in particular, has come to occupy a central place in his work - so much so that by 2020, his output in the medium was substantial enough to merit an early retrospective at the Finnish Glass Museum, featuring pieces blown in both Finland and Lithuania.

A single motif threads through his work across all media: three repeated letters, E, G, S, worked and reworked until language gives way to pure form. Underlying it all is one insistent message - that history stays with us, but remains ours to shape.

Today we want to introduce you to Jan Dudek (born 2001, Lublin), who lives and works in Warsaw, where he studies at the Academy of Fine Arts. His oil paintings focus on everyday situations and personal experiences, exploring the relationship between memory and present emotional states. He applies paint onto lightly primed canvases, preserving the natural texture of the linen — a distinctive quality that runs through his work. This approach carries the nostalgia that remains his central point of reference. He made his gallery debut at BD Gallery in 2026.

Martha Cooper | Unsanctioned

Otwarcie wystawy z udziałem artystki:
20.06.2026
Sobota, 19:00

BD Gallery
Puławska 31, Warsaw
Wstęp wolny

Martha Cooper to jedna z kluczowych postaci powojennej fotografii dokumentalnej w Stanach Zjednoczonych.

Kuratorzy wystawy: Cezary Hunkiewicz, Nika Kramer
Projekt ekspozycji: Konrad Zamiar, realizacja: Jakub Antosz
Identyfikacja wizualna: Konrad Smolarski

„Martha Cooper. Unsanctioned” - legenda fotografii dokumentalnej po raz pierwszy w Warszawie.

Jej archiwum włączono do zbiorów Library of Congress w Waszyngtonie.

The exhibition “Unsanctioned” traces Cooper’s long-standing interest in communities that generate their own visual language and cultural practices. Her photographs document not so much art as, above all, the people who make it – people whose activity falls outside the official circuit. With Cooper, the act of photographing is always twofold: it records and, at the same time, helps produce the cultural recognition of what it records. taken in BD by @bd_gallery_
