Since opening our doors in 1986, the Business Design Centre has played a proud role at the heart of Islington – hosting world-class events, supporting businesses and bringing people together.

Four decades on, we continue to evolve and modernise, while remaining true to the character and heritage that define our venue.

We're delighted to announce a new commercial partnership with premium mobility provider SIXT.

This Sunday, members of the @bdclondon team will be swapping their desks for walking shoes as we take part in the London Memory Walk 💙👟

Joining thousands of others in support of @alzheimerssoc, team BDC will be helping to raise vital funds for dementia research and support services.

The Memory Walk is a wonderful opportunity to come together, support an important cause and make a meaningful difference.

A destination for... fitness: powering performance and wellbeing at the Business Design Centre 💪

While the BDC is best known as one of London's leading event and exhibition venues, many visitors are surprised to discover that we're also home to over 120 resident businesses.

Among them are a growing number of organisations operating in the fitness, health and wellbeing sector, helping people stay active, recover from injury and prioritise their wellbeing both within the venue and across the local Islington community.

Meet the businesses:

🧘 @complete_pilates – a physiotherapist-led studio offering reformer pilates and rehabilitation-focused classes designed to improve strength, mobility and overall wellbeing
🩺 @completephysio – providing expert physiotherapy, sports injury rehabilitation and specialist healthcare services to support recovery and long-term health
🏃 @puregymlondonangel – making fitness accessible through flexible memberships, extensive facilities and classes for every fitness level
🏋️ @revolution_pts – delivering bespoke personal training, strength and conditioning programmes, and tailored fitness coaching for clients of all abilities

The Festival of the Girl (@festivalofthegirl) 2026 returns to @bdclondon on 3-4 October 2026, empowering young girls to build confidence and challenge gender stereotypes.

This year's programme features hands-on activities, interactive workshops and access to inspiring female role models in a fun, inclusive environment, alongside dedicated SEND sessions and the Festival of The Girl Awards 🤝

From engineering and gaming to sustainability, sport, science and the arts, attendees will have the opportunity to explore and develop new interests and discover a world of possibilities.

Our on-site café and restaurant, Jack's, is the ideal place to refuel during your visit to @bdclondon.

Conveniently located on our Gallery Level, it's a favourite spot among visitors, exhibitors, tenants and the BDC team alike. Whether you're after freshly brewed coffee, a refreshing iced drink, a hot breakfast and a homemade lunch, there's always something on the menu for everyone.

Not all waste belongs in the bin ♻️

#RecycleWeek is here, and this year's theme, Rescue Me, shines a spotlight on the recyclable items that are often overlooked or mistakenly thrown away.

It's a powerful reminder that by making the right choices, we can give valuable materials a second life and help reduce waste.

As a venue welcoming hundreds of events and thousands of visitors each year, the @bdclondon is committed to reducing waste and improving recycling 📈 In 2025, our recycling rate increased to 35.91%, reflecting the progress we're making in supporting and implementing more sustainable event practices.

This Recycle Week, we're encouraging our community to take a closer look at what they're throwing away. Together, we can reduce waste, reduce our environmental impact and create a more sustainable events industry.
