Father.
Since you were Born I have been trying to put into words how i feel being a dad . The moment I laid eyes on you, that moment you had my heart for life . I can’t materialize or put into words what you mean to me yet but i have never loved someone so much so fast . When i found out i was going to be your dad . My heart dropped because I didn’t grow up with a father in my life so how could I show you what I never had ? But what I realized is I have to just take my time . Be there every step of the way . For your biggest triumphs and your most devastating failures . I’m already proud of you and all you do is eat , sleep and poop but i love every second of it lol . I will make this vow to you now and i hope one day you will tell me “dad you really did everything you told me you would do for me “. I promise to not let my past Transgressions with my father harbor our relationship. I know I’m going to be hard on you & there will be times you tell your mom you think I’m crazy lol but I promise I’m just passionate about you having every opportunity to succeed in this life . There will never be a week you don’t hear me say “ I love you son & Im proud of you “ . & on the really hard days when you are mad at me just know that’s when ima love you the most because I know that’s when you will need it . I promise to always listen to understand you & not just respond. I will make some mistakes but I promise to always apologize and admit when I’m wrong . I love you so much Hendrix and i just want to thank you for making my life better . by @bdotpres
