A self-initiated Penhaligon’s fragrance campaign, created purely because I’ve always wanted to work with the brand.

As a fragrance fan and designer, I’ve always loved how Penhaligon’s turns perfume into character, combining British heritage, eccentric storytelling and unmistakable packaging. So I challenged myself to imagine a new limited-edition addition to the Portraits collection.

Meet The Last Séance of Lady Vesper.

A dark gothic floral built around black rose, damson plum, cardamom, incense and smoked oud. The fragrance is crowned by a tarnished silver raven and introduced through a campaign of direct-flash photography, mysterious invitations and fragments from Lady Vesper’s final evening.

From the character and fragrance notes to the bottle, packaging, art direction and social campaign, the aim was to create something new while respecting the visual world that makes Penhaligon’s so iconic.

A fan-made concept project. Not commissioned by or affiliated with @penhaligons .

CONCEPT ARSENAL SOCIAL VISUAL IDENTITY //

As an Arsenal fan, this is one I’ve wanted to do for a while.

I wanted to explore what Arsenal’s social identity could look like if it leaned a little further into fashion, culture and editorial design, while still feeling unmistakably Arsenal.

started by stripping things back and building a visual system that could work across everything, rather than designing each post in isolation.

001 | TYPE, COLOUR & TEXTURE

The type does most of the heavy lifting. Instrument Serif brings the character and elegance, while Bank Gothic gives it a harder, more functional edge. I kept Arsenal red at the centre, then introduced burgundy, off-white and a muted gold to give the palette more depth. Grain, motion blur and subtle Arsenal motifs stop everything feeling too clean or digital.

002 | THE SYSTEM

From there, it was about seeing whether the identity actually worked as a feed. Matchday, team news, goals, results, fixtures, kit launches and signings all needed to feel different, but still clearly belong to the same world.

003 | STARTING XI

A more editorial approach to team news. Less information crammed into boxes, more focus on the player, typography and hierarchy.

004 | GOAL

For moments that happen fast, I wanted the design to feel the same. Big type, full-frame photography and a small live score element — something that feels immediate rather than overly polished.

005 | MATCH DAY

More campaign poster than fixture graphic. Strong photography, oversized type and just the information that actually matters.

006 | FULL TIME

This one needed to feel like the end of a story, especially for a huge result. Darker, heavier and more cinematic, while still sitting inside the same system.

007 | KIT LAUNCH

Let the shirt be the hero. Minimal information, close-up imagery and enough space for the details of the kit to actually breathe.

008 | FIXTURES

A quieter piece of the system. Inspired by programmes and old football print, with the taken in Emirates Stadium by @be___numb
