Absolutely one of the best weekends of my life!! I’ll marry you again and again my love. There’s too many photos to choose but I have to start. It was too good not to share. Planning a wedding with littles and so much going on was a feat and I truly could not have done it without @tajrobinson and I can’t believe we didn’t get a photo together! Thank you for everything Tajy.

It was a miracle but I managed to weave the piece of cloth hanging over us before the wedding. It all came together because of all the helping hands and family and I feel so blessed. Love you all!

@camilla.botanical did the most STUNNING florals with incredible guidance and help from @ailishfloral. Truly a dream team. Honored to be Camilla’s first wedding and to have so many flowers grown by her and Barbara and Georgine in the Berkshires.

Massive thank you to @its.abigailfenton for the beautiful photos. She was amazing, a lifelong family friend, and I’m grateful she captured it all.

When Adam first proposed the idea of doing it at our house I said no way. And thank god that changed because having it at our house was the best ever. Our oldest friends and family got to come be with us and see this place we’re creating (and we make the rules;) 🤍 by @bea.herenow

It is with the saddest heart that I’m writing about the need to rehome my dog Nahko (sometimes called Taco :). His name means bear and was for a time my protector. He’s half Australian shepherd half blue heeler and I picked him up from a farm in NM at 6 weeks old and flew home with him.

He’s an observer, loves being outside and could chase a ball or a stick for hours. If he had a purpose he would be happiest. Before I had my children (and other 2 dogs) we would hike all the time and adventure. He comes to greet me every morning and I’ve trained him with a shock collar - which he could definitely use a little more of. He’s very smart and loves to learn.

I’m putting out the call for a new home for Nahko. He’s a herding dog that likes his space from toddlers. Ideally a farm without young children around, or someone with energy to give this guy. If anyone is interested or has any ideas please reach out and we can chat! I’m devastated and only want the best for him. Thank you all for the help! ❤️ by @bea.herenow

A week before Father’s Day, days before the very full strawberry moon, our little prince arrived! Arturo Daniel came on June 8th weighing in a 6.14lbs 2:14am.

I traversed the waters of birth for 23 hours having woken up at 3am Saturday with the waves rolling in. They were gentle but consistent. Melissa and I played in the morning, I made breakfast and tried to tidy up a little. But by the afternoon things were picking up. I read The Power of Women - a complication of birth stories written by @sistermorningstar in between sensations and by evening we decided my mom should come be with Melissa and that my dear friend and midwife come to tend to me.

I was worried I was still a ways away but the tide kept rolling in. Inconsistently consistent and intensity picking up. This birth took me in new ways. It was faster, and in some ways more fiery than the last. Gentle firm hands grounded me in the intensity. I was reminded that I could in fact do what I ultimately knew I could do. I had to get loud this time. Roll my hips, soften my cervix, trust the process of birth.

It doesn’t feel possible and it is. Born again anew. So supported and loved in it all. Thank you thank you thank you.

Adam my rock. Happy Father’s Day. Blessed beyond words for you and the ways you show up. So happy to be a family of 4.

39.5 weeks and I can feel my body pulling me down to rest. My mind wants to keep me distracted and runs through my lists of what needs to be done. “Breathe, just rest, do what I would tell others to do” I try and remind myself. Slipping between worlds I can feel baby is coming soon. And whether that’s hours or days I still don’t know. “Breathe” I tell myself. “You already have everything you need.. there is nothing to do.” My dear friend and midwife came yesterday and I got to have a good cry, witnessed in it all. We laughed about birth being so normal and so big. Soon to be a mother of two. Slowly expanding my world. Inner and outer. So grateful to be married. So in love with our family. So thankful to have support. Flutters of excitement and anticipation run through me. I get to give birth again ✨

I am held
I am loved
I am safe

Thank you to Caitlin @acountryroad, such a dear friend and inspiring mother, for the precious photos. So different the 2nd time around 🤍 by @bea.herenow

There is nothing quite like becoming a mother and words often fall short when I try and explain the experience. But motherhood has always been the destination and the long road of it has finally begun. I’m in awe to be expanding yet again in my body and capacity and heart and can’t wait to meet the next baby I’ve grown with over the last nine moons. I have so much love for that version of me, still a maiden in the first photo, who felt so excited and so daunted by it all.

Motherhood heals. Just as all fetal cells have the capacity to show up and heal various parts of a mothers body (long after baby was there) so too does the experience. Again - hard to explain - but it has brought so much healing to my relationship to my mother and for that I will always be grateful. Thank you mom for all you did and all you do. I’m so glad I chose you ❤️

I feel so blessed to have so many amazing women and mothers in my life. And it’s a blessing that leaves me so incredibly abundant and supported. I have so much to learn from them all and so lucky not to feel alone in the challenges this mothering and life path bring up.

And to my dearest first born Melissa Rose, thank you for making me a mama. I waited so long to have you in my life and I’m forever better for it. We love you to the moon and stars 💛🌷 by @bea.herenow

I finally took a moment to sew up the curtains I wove for under our sink. It felt so good 💚
Motherhood has been humbling and life changing in ways I anticipated and in ways I could not have imagined until moving through it. Taking time for craft and creating has been such a challenge for me and such a gift when I finally choose to do it. So often it feels like hardly a priority when so much else has to be done. I have so much to learn in this life but teaching myself and my children to create for the joy and the love of it I’m realizing is high on the priority list after all.

This project took me months and they aren’t perfect. But I love them. Adam loves them. And they are adding so splendidly to this home we’re creating together. 🌀 by @bea.herenow

Feeling so incredibly grateful for this family we’re creating and growing into. Our big big news is that we’re growing even more with baby number 2 on the way!! Holy moly, the initiation continues. Motherhood and familyhood are only pushing me more and more deeply into the person I truly want to be. It’s humbling to say the least and takes grace and courage daily to show up for this life. The mundane, the everyday, the work - that’s where the magic lives. Finding the joy in it all.

And big gratitude for the @its.abigailfenton for capturing at this stage on our land. So much evolution and growth here already.

Loved learning this song from my dear @adelaidemeadow_ on her retreat and it brought me to tears at 8 months pregnant. If anyone knows the lineage please share 💚 by @bea.herenow

A year ago today I went into labor. I didn’t really realize I was in labor and anyways, as all my trainings had taught me, it could be days (and in my case it would be). Best not to get too excited or too exhausted too quick.

A year ago I had a 40 week massage while having sporadic contractions and cried wishing all women could have that kind of care. My birth keeper @primordial.rites had driven me to the massage and assisted the masseuse in diagonally stretching my body open. She worked on my pelvis and pressure points for labor and I was so grateful. Thank you.

I got home and just felt stressed about not being ready. Adam helped hang some things I needed hung on the walls and suggested I just relax and lay down. I went into the living room and cried on the couch. Was this labor? Why wasn’t I more prepared? Why do I put things off? Could I really do it? I put on my birth playlist and tried to settle in.. by @bea.herenow
