This is me moments after I voted for @kamalaharris for President of the United States on November 5th, 2024. I didn’t post it then as I believed there would be many opportunities to amplify the respect and joy I felt for our 47th President and new leadership.

Wednesday morning, after a night of practically no sleep and complete incredulity, I looked at this photo.

I could feel the Joy every cell in my body felt casting my vote , the Joy for an abundant America I know exists, and for a leader who embodies integrity, intelligence, experience and willingness to reach across the aisle, in efforts to bring the best versions of We the People together in unity... and as i wiped my tears, I smiled and whispered “thank you Kamala Harris for giving me hope, this isn’t over.”

I kept this photo and share it now as a reminder of the vision which existed in my heart, in every fiber of my being, and a vision shared by MANY of you. I know someday, somehow, it will be a reality.

I like to remind myself of the feelings running through my body that day: feelings of Joy, expansion, equality, fairness, opportunity, collaboration, new beginnings, feelings of trust, hard work, and knowing we’d be with trusted leadership.

In these dark times, I choose to be light; I look at this photo and know my why... because love is stronger than hate, light is truth, and calm supersedes chaos and I believe in Democracy..and justice.

@kamalaharris , I can’t thank you enough for your courage, bravery, and unwavering dedication to a higher calling in just two and a half months.

You have an incredible amount of support and respect… your new chapter is coming, and perhaps a clean break and separation of the old was what was needed.

It’s okay to cry. Dear family and friends, by now most of you are aware of the unimaginable loss of homes, schools, restaurants, banks, coffee shops, grocery stores, places of worship and places of play etc… containers of everyday life, that have become ash and rubble. Overnight.

Indeed thousands of lives have thankfully been spared. And everyone I know is incredibly grateful to be alive. A million thank you’s are not enough for the hundreds of first responders who have been working relentlessly in their efforts to save lives and contain these fires unlike anything ever experienced in American history.

Hearts are heavy…it’s more than the loss of material things, it’s community, it’s routine, it’s a safe place, it’s family, it’s…it’s HOME. Many in California, in America and around the globe are feeling helpless and wanting to help anyway they can.

I ask this favor… take a deep breath, and place your right hand on your heart, feel it beat.. feel all the love you carry, smile and now imagine those affected by the fires and place your left hand on their backs….send your love. Trust me. They will receive it.

Just as you feel their pain, sadness, grief, they will feel YOUR LOVE, KINDNESS and COMPASSION.

We are all so beautifully inter-connected…you may not be able to see the waves of energy that connect us on a human level – yet these waves are all there- just like we can’t see the circuitry that connect us digitally – it’s there.

This is a call to action we can all take at any time. And as you feel sadness, a good cry is always a good idea.. it helps to release…We all are processing in our own ways…the gift we have as humans is that of love and the ability to share it.. now is as good a time as any to do just that.

SATURDAY NIGHT the movie delighted on all fronts - the performances are incredible -it’s like being back in time w Gilda, Dan, Chevy, John … like I was ever with them! Ha! That’s the feel with this film though -that you ARE right there with them, a fly on the wall -better yet a bee 🐝😉buzzin about in your fab 70’s outfits, taking it all in, that first Saturday night in 1975 -along side young producer Lorne M - so brilliant- his expressions could watch him all day. And then the music 🎹 just Wow, the score keeps the tension and enhances the pacing which is a feat - a fantastical dance of camera, space, actors, and storyline. It’s such a fun ride with so much heart and soul ✨✨✨Laugh you will, and it’ll stay with you long after the credits roll bc this cast and crew did just that - they created a joyful expression that permeates and becomes one w you…. I love finding myself smiling as I reflect back on the film at random moments and I’m sure you will too! There is so much wisdom on the earth which holds our hearts, our bodies our spirit. 🌏Swipe 👉🏽I love sitting quietly, observing and feeling the energy around and within.
