First ever Beach Dubbin’ tattoo! One of our organisers Coxy teamed up with one of our trophy sponsors and volunteer legend @neondemon.tattoo and had @emmanicoldraw ‘s design permanently added to her leg! A lovely reminder of what the show means 💕✨

We know the whole community loves a VW tattoo, so why not show us! 😁🙌🏼 by @beachdubbin

This popped up in our memories today... 😍

Throwback to 9 years ago at the very last BeachBuggin in 2017!

Back then, Coxy and Jason were the ones in the orange T-shirts, volunteering, lining up Show & Shine, judging, and even juggling it all with a baby in a carrier. The original Mini Dubber was also enjoying her very first of what would become many VW shows! 🤙🏼

They arrived in their T4, Thor, painted by @farkfk, and entered him into Show & Shine - proof that you don’t need the shiniest van in the world to be part of the fun. 😁

You might even spot show legend @dawsonvwbmx helping line up Show & Shine too. Nine years later, he’s still doing it every year, and we genuinely wouldn’t be without him!

Just one year later in 2018, Team BD took over the event and rebranded it into the Beach Dubbin’ you all know and love today. Fast forward to now, and Coxy, Jason, Sue and Grant have swapped the orange for pink T-shirts, but one thing hasn’t changed - you’ll still find us out there lining up cars! 😂

It’s always been a show for enthusiasts, by enthusiasts, and somehow it just keeps getting bigger every year.

Time really does fly when you’re having fun! 😁🙌🏼 taken in Beach Dubbin’ by @beachdubbin

This was @beachdubbin ✨

Back for our second year and it was INSANE!!! This whole event is such a vibe and will always hold a special place in my heart because DID YOU KNOW; in 2016, we went to Beach Buggin (as it was known back then) in @mrtickle1967beetle and that’s where the idea for Bus and Bug was born. All from a conversation with a lady who was trying to find a cream beetle as her wedding car!

10 years later, here we are! 🤪

Huge thanks to @midnightphoenixphotos for the photo (please do let me know if you have any more!) as aside from having a sore back from being at the machine serving for 7.5 hours straight with a back to back queue and a hot chocolate pic from @barrybthebullyt ,there’s actually no evidence we were there 🤣 we didn’t get to leave the van to take any pictures or tag anyone! BONKERS!

What a weekend, @beachdubbin had me back once again for this years vw fest by the sea and what an event it was.

Its always a pleasure to do the media for them and help show just how good the event is but also how much work the volunteers put into it each year.

Beachdubbin is a none for profit charity driven event, if you haven't been yet, well you need to attend next years im sure it will be even better and bigger.

Big thanks to good friend George for being second cam op, and to @midnightphoenixphotos with them we make up the beachdubbin media team. 🤙🏼

On Sunday, our Director Sophie had the pleasure of joining the incredible volunteer team at @beachdubbin in Southsea ☀️🚐

Beach Dubbin is an annual celebration of Volkswagens, vehicles and community, welcoming enthusiasts from across the UK and Europe while raising vital funds for local charities and community projects, including Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

It was an absolute pleasure to be involved in such a special not-for-profit event, run entirely through passion, dedication and a genuine love for both the VW scene and the local community. So much work goes on behind the scenes to make the day possible, and the team continue to pour their hearts and souls into creating an event that grows bigger and better every year.

SML Collective was also proud to sponsor the Best Split category, which meant Sophie had the very difficult job of choosing this year’s winner! 🏆

The award went to a truly beautiful restored T1 with an incredible story behind it. After being badly damaged and left abandoned in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, she was rescued and lovingly brought back to life — making her restoration all the more special. 🌀

Huge congratulations to Charlotte, Jason, Sue and Grant on another fantastic event. Your hard work, commitment and the heart you put into Beach Dubbin certainly haven’t gone unnoticed and it was brilliant to see Southsea Common filled with incredible vehicles, brilliant people and such a welcoming atmosphere.

Here’s to many more years of Beach Dubbin 🧡🚗🚌🏝️ taken in Southsea Common by @beachdubbin

The dust’s finally settled… literally!

What a weekend! Huge shout-out to the @beachdubbin crew for putting on another awesome event.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the stand, picked up a tee, had a chat, or came over for a high five. It genuinely means a lot to us.

Great people, incredible cars, brilliant traders, and we’re proud to have sponsored the Best in Show – Watercooled award, congratulations to @rallye16v . Days like these are exactly why we love what we do.

If you couldn’t make the show, don’t worry… all of our new designs are now available online and in store. 👊☀️
