What an incredible Family Weekend! 💙💛 A heartfelt thank you to all the students, families, faculty and staff who spent the weekend celebrating, connecting and creating lasting memories with us. Your energy and enthusiasm made the weekend truly unforgettable. Thank you for being part of our community! 🎉 During Family Weekend we were also proud to announce that our new inclusive intramural and fitness center at Beacon College is to be named The Hagerty Center in honor of 14-year President George J. What began as an experiment with approximately 40 guests at the inaugural Beacon Salon Forums in 2016 evolved into one of Central Florida's most popular educational and cultural programs. Inspired by the intellectual salons of Enlightenment-era France, the Beacon Salon Speaker Series was established to bring respected scholars, authors, artists and thought leaders to the community while fostering lifelong learning and meaningful dialogue. Today, the series boasts more than 1,500 subscribers and regularly fills available seats with remarkable speed. Free and open to the public, the Beacon Salon Speaker Series reflects President George J. Hagerty's vision of extending Beacon College's educational mission beyond the classroom and into the broader community.
