Seven whole days without you Flo. The longest most painful days of my life. I knew that losing you would hurt, but I think I underestimated just how much. I think about you by day, and I dream of you by night. I’d give all I have to have you back with me healthy again. I’m relieved you are no longer suffering. I can’t tell you how much your absence is hurting. I miss you my sweet girl. Mammy will always love you.

6am today. The light was glorious. A portent for the day. Unfortunately we are headed into another heatwave. I know I may be unpopular saying it but i don’t like the heat. It makes my illness symptoms a ton worse than normal and normal isn’t great. Longing for autumn but in the interim I’ll enjoy the birds, bees and wildflowers.

A few moments of peace and quiet outside in the garden before the heat ramped up and the summer sun brought noise to my neighbours gardens. I love to hear children enjoying themselves and the summer sounds of gardeners. But a few quiet moments is bliss. Watching the bees swarming all over the yellow shrub made me so happy.
