In order we have:
1) Threshold Guardian Lizard :-)
2) The Path to Adventure
3) A holey rock
4) I dunno, some trees I guess
5) A red rock
6) Vistas of distant ridgelines
7) Cobblestone Trail is around here somewhere
8) Finding a cobblestone :-)
9) Boulders reclaiming the path
10) A not-so-distant peak
11) A magnificent oak tree
12) A baby madrone tree
13) A cute manzanita bush.
[I tried to get all three of those to pose together in one shot because they are right next to each other, but the composition was terrible even by MY standards]
14) A very dry part of the trail
15) An alleged Frog Pond (well, there are cattails, that's something)
16) And finally: "The Shadow of the Hat" (also wanted a pic of how the red rocks turn into red soil, given time. :-) )

My new girl friend. ;-)
1) Yes, she's real.
2) Yes, that really is my finger.
3) No, I'm not keeping her. I put her outside. She was hanging out in my basement. She's fine, although I think I scared her a bit. Oops. :-(
4) She played dead for a bit, that's why we get to see her "hour-glass figure". I didn't know Latrodectus hesperus did that. But she seemed clearly aware of me and she wouldn't move while I was watching. Yet, as soon as I was out of sight (I hid for a minute), she was very active, then she frozen again when I was in view.
5) She was inside a plastic "bug trap" at this point. Perfectly safe.
6) I wish her luck... 🤔
7) Y'know, come to think of it, I don't know what they normally eat. But I have faith that she is ecologically important. 🕷️👍🙂 by @beaker_guy

Well, in this case: you're in luck!
'cuz the puppy is so well trained, that he will just sit, and gaze adoringly at you, and make you feel warmth and affection and appreciation; and he will NEVER try jump up on you.

He will just sit, ... and contentedly adore. 🙂

Most men don't want to be "the stinky puppy." Personally, I don't mind. At least for the right lady. 🙂

But, it is the question one has to wonder about: is it possible for the puppy to continue looking adoring and adorable WITHOUT making sad puppy eyes? Can the puppy be TRULY happy just minding his place and wagging his tail, and knowing that he is doing his duty? 🤔🧘‍♂️🐶🙂

[Also, for any big fans of "The Big Bang Theory" (TV) out there: yeah, it's more of a "conundrum" than a "paradox". That was as alliterative. Bite me! 😬🤣] Cute but wet puppy in bath. by @beaker_guy
