“Feel good design” - episode 4 with Alisa Bertram, owner and lead designer of Beam Design and Consulting (@beam_designs), is out now!

Born and raised in the Conejo Valley, Alisa discovered her passion - and aptitude - for interior design at a young age when her parents let her make decisions during renovation projects.

Years later, the born leader fused her desire to be her own boss with her ability to marry elegance and family functionality when designing a home and started Beam Design and Consulting.

Tap the link in bio to hear Alisa:
✨ debunk the biggest misconception of working with an interior designer
✨share why good communication is key for running a service business
✨ give her prediction on the trending neighborhoods in the area

Did you know elm burl isn’t a separate species of tree? It comes from a rounded growth on an elm, where the grain develops in irregular directions. Creating those beautiful swirls, curls, and intricate patterns.

At BEAM, we love materials with character. Elm burl brings a natural miracle, honey-warmth, and turns into a statement piece you will enjoy every time you see it.

Before I was picking paint colors, I was picking pumpkins. 🎃

Little Alisa had no idea she’d grow up to design homes, but she already knew how to appreciate a little magic.

Your contractor doesn’t need your saved Pinterest boards. But I absolutely want to see them. 😉

Show me the tile you love, the kitchen you keep screenshotting, and the ideas you can’t quite explain. I’ll help turn them into a cohesive design with clear decisions that keep your project moving seemingly.

You bring the wish list. I’ll bring the samples. 🤍

I narrow the options, bring thoughtfully selected samples to your home, and help you see how everything works together…in your light, with your furniture, for your life.

Less second-guessing. More “that’s the one.” ☝️

Went outside for fresh air. Came back with a color scheme and a reason to design something. 🌅🤷🏼‍♀️
