"The Blind Siren" showcase video

Took a bit too long to post this, but here it is!
It may also be the perfect time to present my little story synopsis for it:

✨️An ancient siren has travelled to Earth in order to get human servants and save her people. She presents herself as a great god and bewitches whoever crosses her path.

A few little images from my latest character concept "The Blind Siren"

I created this character's look entirely from pre-owned objects and fabrics. The head piece is made out of various sea shells, clay, and some parts from a plastic skeleton that were leftover from another project. This was definitely one of my biggest "trust the process" moments by @bean.builds

A small set piece from my latest film "The Creature of Love" that did not make the cut.

I had to create a space where our main character Greta would keep her memorabilia, letters, and other little trinkets.

I worked on creating a digitally enhanced portrait of our wonderful @camille.koefoed which shows her character at a younger age in 1910, 10 years before our film even takes place! by @bean.builds

A few pictures from "The Creature of Love" set🫀

Had to bottle quite a few fake organs for this one. Charity shops were definitely my best friend but where did I get that body from? It remains a secret.

Had a lot of fun creating this environment. I had to collect many trinkets but the nature of this film allowed me to be a bit more lenient with the nature of each item. They had to be a bit quirky. by @bean.builds

It's alive! Final product🧠

The machine is working and its mainly made from reused and repurposed objects! The body itself is an old cupboard and the lever is an old potatoe masher. It has functional lights which can be turned on from behind. The indicators are also moveable! Full contol over this huge prop.

Biggest prop made so far!

In our film the machine is used for bringing a special someone back to life👀 by @bean.builds

"The Creature of Love" 🫀 my final film at uni!

I made it this far, and yes you guessed it... it's another period piece set in the 1920s this time... and it's in black and white!! Yet another challenge. I was a production designer on this project and once again I got to make some really cool props and set design.

Here is a sketch of my energy converter, but what is its purpose? We'll find out soon. Swipe for a few more moodboards

Who was the snitch? The Rat, The Mole or The Snake🔫
Let's just say none of them were really that smart afterall.

The finalised puppets are here! Tittle of puppet maker has been acquired🏅

Had fun trying to make these guys, the snake is 2 meters long! How crazy is that?!
My biggest challenge was definitely figuring how to make them "speak" easily. They had to be sturdy but move easily so that our puppeteers could work with them properly

Making some cute friends for my first final year film "Stitched up"🐍

My first time working with fabrics at this level. It was definitely a challenge trying to bring these little guys to life, but all the fails motivated me to try harder. We'll see if it paid off. by @bean.builds
