A place to share my love for crochet and yarn 💕

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Today I thought I’d share this jungle themed blanket that I made last year from squares in @kates.crochet.creations book ‘The Granny Square Book’ 🦁

It’s a year since the online book tour to promote Katy’s book and I was so honoured to be invited to take part. I’ve made many of Katy’s patterns previously and they’re all so well written and the book is no different. In fact I was making more squares from the book yesterday. A definite must have for crocheters of all abilities 😁

This little blanket has been used all winter on my grandsons buggy and has received so many lovely compliments 😁

When Heather from @crochet.n.create asked me if I’d like to make one of her latest designs I jumped at the chance 😁💕

This is the Lotus Shell Baby Jacket and it comes in sizes newborn up to 12 months. I chose to make mine in white and 0-3 month size. The pattern is a free one on Heathers website but you can also purchase an ad free version too. A super easy pattern to follow and I’m sure it will become on of my ‘go to’ baby patterns 💕😁

Super happy with how this one turned out. Thank you @crochet.n.create for the opportunity 💕

One of my favourite blankets. It will be fun when I’m eventually able to unpack them all. I may get a shock when I realise how many I have! 🩷

Have a lovely weekend everyone, I’ve a long list of jobs to get through so it will be a productive one for me hopefully 🩷

This sweet little set was completed last year for a dear friends granddaughter 💕

Blanket and cardigan pattern are both by @kerryjaynedesigns
The hat was made to match. Such sweet patterns that I always go back to for little ones 💕

There is still not much crochet happening right now but I do have blankets that I’ve not got round to posting before so I’ll be able to share those with you 😁💕

Good morning…

I’m using this time whilst we’re between houses to make some progress on my wips. This is the May Blossom Blanket by @woolthreadpaint that I started a couple of years ago and didn’t get time to complete 💜

I’m using my own colours in a random way and I’m pleased with how it’s growing. I know I won’t have enough of all the yarn colours to complete the whole blankets so it will need to be adapted at some point. It’s always fun when you don’t know what you will end up with 😁💜

The blue theme continues with these alpine stitch squares. They’re to be added to a pile for a special blanket for my grandson. I like how they complement the granny stitch squares. Hopefully it will all come together well and be how I imagine it 😁

A little update from me….

Hello everyone 👋🏻

I’m still here although I’ve not posted for quite some time now. We’ve been busy moving home so crochet has had to take a back seat for a while. Packing up our home of 27 years, including 2 attics full of belongings has certainly taken its toll 🏡 😆

All of our belongings are now in storage and we’re staying with family until our new home is ready. Consequently I don’t have everything with me so I’m just fitting in some small amounts of crochet when I can, mostly gifts and finishing off some wips 🧶

These are two #bunnyparade blankets that I completed last year and didn’t manage to share. The loveliest pattern by @kerryjaynedesigns and a joy to make 🩵🐰🩵

Have a lovely Easter weekend everyone, I’ll be back soon with more makes to share from the end of last year 💜💛💚🩷🩵

Also thank you to everyone that reached out to me, I really appreciate it 😘 xx

Good morning 💕

I’m still here crocheting away 😁

I’m busy making gifts though so I can’t share anything on here right now so I thought I’d share these Christmas trees instead 🎄
I made them for my family a couple of years ago from a kit by @cottonpod that I bought at Yarndale. I loved them so much I purchased the bases to make more…they’re such a lovely addition to my Christmas decor 💚🎄💚

Have a lovely Sunday everyone 💕

Hello! 👋🏻 I’ve just returned from the loveliest break with my daughters and grandchildren 😁We went to @ribbyhallvillage on a toddler break and my 2 year old granddaughter had so much fun with all the activities 💕 Consequently crochet took a back seat but I’m hoping to fit some squares in this weekend 🤞🏻

I made these hats for my grandchildren before we went. They’re based on a super design I found by @crochet365knittoo ⛄️ I adapted it to ensure they fit and also changed the carrot nose to a 3D one. I can’t wait to see them both wearing these….such a fun design ❄️⛄️🥕

The background blanket is my festive Mystical Lanterns blanket ♥️

Christmas crochet is in full swing! 🎄🎅☃️

There were so many of these little jumpers popping up on my feed last year and as I didn’t have time to make any I decided to rectify that this year. What a lovely little make they are too.
The pattern is a free one by @mushyy_1 and there was a great video over on YouTube.
I’ve also made some in non traditional colours that have already been claimed by my daughter 😁♥️

My other daughter requested the baubles which are a free pattern by @brianakdesigns using wheat stitch. Another great Christmas make 😁
I adjusted these slightly to fit the spheres that I had and attached some bells to the top ♥️

Let the Christmas crochet continue….😁

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of testing these gorgeous squares for the very talented Lisa @cutecrochetmakes 💙

This will be a new design by Lisa called the Winter Wonderland Blanket which is due to be released soon. I’ve only tested one of each design of the squares but I’ll most certainly be carrying on and finishing it. It will be a super special blanket for my grandson 😁💙

More little squares made for my Winter Wonderland Blanket ⛄️🎁

The blanket has been beautifully designed by Lisa @cutecrochetmakes and is currently in testing, due to be released soon. It’s full of the sweetest Christmas designs and I’m thoroughly enjoying making it 💙

I particularly love the texture on the middle square, it’s not a stitch I’ve used in that way before 😁

Have a happy Sunday everyone, I’m out for lunch with my youngest daughter today 🥰
