Bringing Eats Across Neighborhood Streets 🫘 We are a collective of friends who believe in housing and food justice for all ❤️‍🔥

POSTS STORIES REELS

BEANS (Bringing Eats Across Neighborhood Streets) is a local mutual aid group that is committed to distributing warm meals and supplies across the Portland area to people who are and living on the streets and without stable housing. We are a collection of friends who avidly believe in food security and housing justice for all. We recognize that many people are houseless due to systemic problems that late-stage capitalism is proliferating and want to do what we can to ally with those experiencing the brunt of these injustices. Our group has existed in alternate iterations in the past, and many of our members have been committed to this work under different mutual aid titles since 2020.

We humbly ask folks who may have secure housing and disposable income to consider donating any small amount to help us gather supplies such as food supplies, packaging, tarps, warm clothing, blankets, hand warmers, water bottles, medical supplies, electrolyte packets, and so much more! We operate completely on volunteered labor so 100% of you donation will go towards cooking meals and gathering necessary supplies for folks living outdoors.

Thanks for bringing your attention here! Please feel free to dm us to coordinate any donations of physical items (we’d love to distribute your old, gently used camping gear, clothing, or blankets) or if you’d like to volunteer your time towards cooking or distributing meals. Love and solidarity to y’all!
