Hi, I'm Ashley — the hands behind Beansauce Blooms 🌸

I started making wire and resin flowers while recovering from a big surgery back in February. What began as healing turned into an obsession, and now it's my whole life.

Everything is handmade by me in Edmonton — flowers that never wilt, never need water, and are totally cat-proof (a big deal in this house 😅). My pomsky Lola, aka beansauce and the face of the business, supervises every petal, and my husband is my entire logistics department.

I'm building this into our full-time dream, one flower at a time. Thanks for being here 💜

Took a little road trip out to Onoway today and it did not disappoint 🚗💨

First stop: @onoways_handmade_market — this place is a gem. Over 75 local makers under one roof, all handmade, all local. Home decor, gifts, jewelry, treats... I could've wandered for hours. If you're anywhere near Edmonton, it's so worth the drive.

And I have to give a special shout out to @lulubomb_creations — her resin work genuinely blew me away 🤯 As a fellow resin artist I know exactly how much skill goes into pieces like hers, and wow. Go follow her, you won't regret it 💜

5 things people have said to me at my booth:

1. "are these real?" — no babe, i grew them in my kitchen. they're wire. that's the whole thing 😭
2. "can i take a photo?" — of course! (please tag me. please. i'm begging.)
3. "where are the bathrooms?" — ma'am this is a flower booth
4. "my wife would LOVE these" — cool! she's not here though, is she. and he's gone. he walked away.
5. "how long does one take to make?" — long enough that you should buy two 🙂

never a dull moment at the beansauce booth. come for the flowers, stay for the chaos 🌸

when the wife starts a small business, you now have a job you didn't sign up for.

job title: husband of the flower lady.
duties include: carrying the bins, popping up the tent, loading the car at 7am, standing behind the camera for every video, and hearing "don't let me lift that" seventeen times every sunday — then lifting it himself.

pay: zero dollars. benefits: unlimited "thank youuu"s and first dibs on the pretty flowers.

he didn't apply for this. he didn't interview. he just married me and woke up one day as my entire logistics department.

and he has never once complained. (okay, maybe once. about the tent.)

ladies, get you a man who treats your dream like it's his job too. because apparently now it is 💜

mondays are for the business 💜

today i'm spending the whole day working ON my business, not just in it. planning, prepping, restocking — all the behind-the-scenes stuff nobody claps for.

because my business can't make moves unless i make moves first.

every dollar i put back in goes straight toward making it bigger: better supplies, better packaging, more flowers on more tables. spend money to make money, right? 😉

this is me betting on myself. again. and honestly? i'd do it every monday 🌸

"how did you find them??"
me, a visionary: i just knew ✨

honestly at this point it's a gift. i was following them way back before they were cool — back when it was just me and a handful of people who Got It. now everybody's catching on and i'm just sitting here like... told you 😌

follow now so you can say you were here before everyone started doing it 😎

pov: i turned my craft into a work of art ✨

a year ago this was just a spool of wire and something to do with my hands while i healed. now it's my whole business. every petal bent by hand, every flower dipped in resin — no two exactly alike.

wire, resin, and the audacity to believe i could 🌸
follow @beansauceblooms before everyone starts doing it 😎

When a customer gives you artist freedom, except you can't make a decision to save your life 😅

They said "do whatever you want!" and I said "say less" — then immediately spent 45 minutes staring at my pigments like they personally betrayed me. Blue? Purple? Swirl? Solid? WHY IS THIS HARDER THAN THE ORDER?

This is the behind-the-scenes nobody talks about — custom work isn't just making the thing, it's the hundred tiny decisions before the thing. And honestly? I love it. There's something so fun about a blank flower and a full palette and zero instructions. Wish me luck 🎨

I have two modes: making flowers, and finding something else to make 😂

There's always a market to prep for, an order to finish, a reel to edit, a new idea keeping me up at night. My brain simply doesn't do bored.

Tell me I'm not the only one
