POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Nobody asked for this, I just get a lot of questions
There’s Some Stuffā„¢ļø I don’t want to mention publicly or get into the nitty gritty of because despite healing it still is a fuckin DIFFICULT THING TO ADMIT okay
.
Slide IDS:
1: ā€œthe white part (hair) let’s talk about it (tw: mentions of ab*se, bullying, sh and other topics)
2: photos of baby Kai, ā€œso, I wasn’t born with it. It developed through intense trauma (I don’t understand the process of why/how it happened medically); basically my bio mother and her mother had custody battles over me (Nitty Gritty details I don’t want to share) and what I remember is her mother calling me a selfish brat, and that plus child services being called constantly triggered a lot of stress in 6 year old me (as it would)ā€
3: pre teen Kai with bold spots and bandana: ā€œthe stress made me develop alopecia, I had several bold spots, hence the bandana (which my primary school teacher tore off in assembly for ā€œinappropriate uniformā€). I guess the stress contained (I was new to my step dads family, new to the area and school(s)) and being harassed by my nan who had a restraining (I typed that wrong on the post) order on her- and that stress made me develop vitiligo in the spots that were boldā€
4: pre teen Kai with his white hair on show: ā€œI had it on show a lot on my pre teen years, I didn’t really register that it was something ā€œdifferentā€, I just knew I had to wear suncream and hats to hide the skin that had/has vitiligo (and then being kicked in a corner until that hat was kicked off). The intense bullying became a lot less physical and more mental in secondary. Literally the teachers themselves threatened to throw me in isolation ā€œuntil it grows outā€. Yeah. And obviously, I was a different, (closeted) queer kid, I was everyone’s target for bullying.
5: teen/ young adult Kai with dyed hair: I spend my entire secondary life dying my hair and making it easier to NOT be bullied. I feel like that’s all I have to say here. I also blamed myself, a lot, for what happened. Hiding it felt like hiding s3lf harm, having it on show felt like announcing to everyone how much I fucked up my life

RING RING! IS THAT THE SOUND OF A DEBUT I HEAR??? Oh, and what’s that? He’s one of our most wonderful regulars ever???? And it’s their intro post right now???????

NO. WAY. INTRODUCING - KAI!

Imagine a creature in the woods with a niche music taste, blasting songs like siren head, but… only it’s indie bands.

Cryptic but self taught in everything they do, if you see him, do not stare; it’s not real.

The whimsy; the man, the myth, the legend.

Do not fall for his s3xy lure..

I’ve never really told anybody this story before. I officially started school in year 3, so I started at nursery level and I remember everyone else doing their 5x tables and I had no clue what was going on. I couldn’t read or write at 7. Because of this, I’ve always needed extra support, needing to be in morning groups in high school or always stuck in the bottom sets. Fast forward to finishing high school, I managed to pass my English with an A, somehow. Then comes college, because of COVID and terrible mental health, my grades suffered; I didn’t end up in any of my conditional offers of universities because of it. But, I did get an unconditional offer from the University of Gloucestershire, so I took it. Uni has been rough; I became estranged in my first year and I’ve had to work part time the whole time because of that. There were so many points I wanted to drop out and give up, but I made it. I have a degree despite starting with nothing, now younger me would not believe you if you even told him he passed his GCSEs.
Yes, the grades aren’t what I wanted but I’m trying to give myself the credit of not a lot of people work 24 hours a week during uni yet alone do it estranged. So I’m trying to be proud of myself, so, here’s to me.
I also have my transition journey, and that I can take this graduation as my true self
Ft my first day at high school and a cheeky final fantasy ost bc you can’t tell me this isn’t a perfect graduation theme by @beansockz

From my first actual binder in 2020 to now (same binder still holding out in the second pic 🫔) (I wore unsafe ones prior to this, or would do stuff like insane about of bandage layers (do not do that!!!!))
I knew I wanted this since I was 14 and before transphobes jump on that and be like omg you were so young and whatever bull you want to throw my way, I have fought and fought for this. Every single loophole, every single doubt. I have dreamt about this, the freedom, not feeling like I’m wearing skin that isn’t mine.
And you can’t tell me that the trans glow up with joy between the two pics isn’t worth it?
So to all those reading this, it does get better, all the screaming and fighting is worth it in the end.
And you know what else we say? Trans šŸ—£ļø rights šŸ—£ļø are šŸ—£ļø human šŸ—£ļø rights šŸ—£ļø by @beansockz
