New Rope Options for the Knot Tying Kit!

(I listen to all your feedback, dedicated to making the best gear possible!)

The new option for ropes are 5ft x4mm orange and green stiff paracord (to hold knots better while learning)

If you’ve ordered a kit in the past - on your next bear essentials website order just mention at checkout that you’d like these new ropes - I’ll add them in for free :)

Use with CAUTION ⚠️
The “Bear’s Grip” Hitch.

I just invented this hitch - a type of Kamikaze knot, but made far more secure. Please never use this for rappelling.

See my Youtube video on how and why this was made + al of its uses.

Top 5 Ferro Rod Skills (# 5 is basically cheating)

From the beginner spark shower (looks cool, rarely catches) up to the PRO move: a waxed hemp handle that lights a wick right in your hand. In between: the machine gun, the safer pull-back, and the landmine for damp conditions. The kit I’m using is my own Bear Essentials Kit — 6” rod, tungsten striker/sharpener, 10ft waxed hemp handle.

Comment: FIREKIT

And ill send you the link for one!

A BETTER way to WRAP IT UP!

Learned this one from the great Mors Kochanski!

A better way to wrap paracord. Instead of the standard wrap, you twist a friction button into the bundle so it stays tight no matter how much rope you pull out.

This is one of the few knots that can be both tied & untied with big gloves or mitts on.

It’s really important for any work in the outdoors.

Known as the Siberian / Evenk hitch, it’s a great one for tarps and ridgelines. by @bear.essentials.outdrs
