Are you angry about the approval of the Stratos Data Center? We are too. That’s why a group of Box Elder County citizens have come together and created an organization called B.E.A.R.

B.E.A.R. (Box Elder Accountability Referendum) has officially filed referendum applications challenging Resolutions 26-11 and 26-12 following approval of the proposed Stratos data center project in Box Elder County. We hope to put this on the ballot and give the citizens a voice and right to actually vote on this Data Center.

This nonpartisan, community driven effort focuses on protecting local voices, water resources, infrastructure, transparency, and long term planning.

We are excited and ready to fight this!
More updates and volunteer information coming soon.

This was taken tonight, October 20th, at the Utah County Planning Commission meeting. You may have seen the video of Aspen @protect.utah being taken to the ground by an officer, with her jaw hitting the floor.
But I want you guys to see what happened leading up to that.

Tonight, they voted yes on a proposal to allow data centers as a permitted use in mining and grazing and industrial zones, and create a data center overlay zone.

After receiving hundreds of letters asking them to vote no. After weeks of hearing our statements. After people kept showing up and speaking out.

They heard us, and they voted to move it forward anyway. That feels like a blatant disregard for the people who showed up.

And when people had something to say about that decision, this is how it was handled.

Aspen is spending tonight in jail after the officer, at least double her size, slammed her face to the ground.

Watch this footage and decide for yourself: Did her actions justify that level of force and an overnight stay in jail? Watch for yourself and share. This is who are supposed to be representing and protecting the citizens. by @bear_the_fight

Vote out the politicians who don’t serve your community. Vote out All who don’t protect the natural resources we need to survive. Today we make history for us, and future generations. This is Save it, or Lose it with Paul Rivera. by @bear_the_fight

Join the fight today! We want STRONG and DETAILED regulations regarding data centers and Spanish Forks Ordinance 12-2026 is NOT that. Data centers have large and long-lasting impacts on the communities in which they are built. We believe Spanish Fork residents deserve a real say when data centers try to move into their city. #spanishforkutah #spanishforkdatacenter #saveourearth #speakup by @bear_the_fight

This week is going to be BUSY.

We URGE you to get involved for your community and your county. We need more bodies to be present for these decisions. I promise you, you’ll be impacted by them, so why not make your voice heard?

Let us know if you can go to any of these! by @bear_the_fight
