our camping hot take: just because you’re in the mountains doesn’t mean you should have to suffer through powdered instant coffee.

We have a lot of new faces here, so allow us to reintroduce ourselves - the tiny team behind Bear Box Brew ☕️🤎🏔️🥰

We’re originally from the midwest but we bought a van and moved out west in 2023 to be in the mountains and sunshine 🤎 our hobbies include camping, hiking, backpacking, surfing, skiing, and of course good coffee. We got married in 2024. We no longer live in the van, but still enjoy the outdoors all we can. On weekends, you’ll likely find us frolicking in the Sierras or exploring a new beach.

Camping trip after camping trip, we became frustrated by current camp coffee solutions being clunky and annoying to clean, or tasting horrible. Bear Box Brew was born in 2025 by emptying some tea bags, filling them with ground beans, and steeping single-serve “cold brews” in our bear box overnight. We’ve loved drinking these so much we thought it was time to share them with the world. Since creating these, we’ve learned not only are they perfect for camping, but also for travel (goodbye gross hotel coffee), or simply at home for busy mornings. We’ve had so much fun in the process trying coffees and roasts from around the world, and tweaking our process to deliver you the perfect cup, hot or cold. We hope you’ll love them as much as we’ve loved making them for you!

Learn more about our story, our commitment to sustainability, and our first product on our website, www.bearboxbrew.com. We’re also on Tik Tok @bearboxbrew 🤎 We’re so proud of this scrappy business we’re building. And it’s only the start… by @bearboxbrew
