Congaree Forest, After the Storm

A couple years ago, after a huge storm came through South Carolina, I went hiking in Congaree National Park. Before we went, my husband and I had been worried that a lot of trees and woods would be toppled over and that the landscape would be ruined by flooding and mud. But it was beautiful, -toppled trees, mud, and all. It made me so happy to see nature's resilience. taken in Congaree National Park by @bearcannonart

Winter Light

This painting was a bit of a struggle. I'm still not sure how I feel about it, but my husband likes it. So, that's something!

My two dogs assisted in the making of the video. The tricolor is Wacky; Juno is black and white. They are both crazy beagles.
