The past 2 weeks have been the hardest days of my life.

I lost my hunting buddy, my best friend and my hero. The hole in my heart is giant and can never be filled.

Nothing can replace the relationship I had with my Dad. He was always there for me. For all of us. And it hurts thinking about all the things we had planned for the future.

His smile was soft and caring. He was genuine. And loved with everything he had. He was selfless and kind.

But with all this pain. I've never been more grateful for amazing friends and family and their constant support and love. You might not think it's much. But those simple messages meant the world to us.
Thank you all so much.

Now, we live one day at a time, with the amazing memories that dad left with us.

I lived such a rich and blessed life because of my relationship with Dad. Something I never took for granted. We adventured so much together. Something I'll cherish forever.
Because now the memories carry me through.

I only hope one day to grow to be half the man he was.

I know he is not with us physically anymore, but I know he's still here by our sides.

I know he will be on every mountain, every river, sitting every treestand with me. From now till I can see him and give him a giant hug again.

I love you Dad

A very close friend encouraged me to start building a portfolio of projects I am placed in charge of here at work.
.
For multiple reasons; To build a reputation of clean, honest electrical work others can trust for wherever life may take me. But also to take pride in myself and accomplishments we achieve.
.
So. We'll start it off with one of my favorites we just buttoned up this last week.
.
I've been on piles of custom homes bigger than this. But this cabin was special.
.
Elk bugling on cold, crisp fall mornings. Deer always in the driveway. Bears in the dump trailer.
Bright yellow aspens.
3000+ acres of solitude.
.
I won't lie. This one challenged and pushed me to the limits. It almost ended my life a couple of times. Literally. 🤏 This close.😅
.
The main source of my onset balding. For sure

.
Luckily for me, I have some incredibly hard-working friends and apprentices that I can always count on who give it all on the jobsite. I am grateful for all their help. I wouldn't have been able to pull this off if it weren't for them.

2 years since we had to lay dad to rest. It never gets easier no matter how much time goes by.
.
Im just grateful I had a father who cared.
Who took the time to show up for us.
Who taught me what love and loyalty look like.
Who gave me my love for the outdoors.
Im lucky to be my fathers son.
.
I still see you out there on every trip pops.

I have dreamt of this day for a long time now.

Since we took your last buck you shot in your younger days, to get restored for Christmas back in 2020
.
To share a wall of trophies with my Dad.
.
It took me a little longer than we both would have liked. But I finally got him up there. With yours.
.
I know you'd be absolutely over the moon to be littering Mom's house with dead animals😅
.
You'd probably keep telling me, "Dang, we made that wall look good!"
