do you love bugs? 👀⬇️

I have something for you!

I’m a college student who creates art to show the beautiful side of the scaley, crawly, and slimey things that would make your grandmother shiver. (Or mine, at least. 😅)

I’m planning to make more bug merch in the future, but for now I have Luna and Japanese Oak Silk Moth prints / stickers in my Etsy.

If you like bugs, art, and supporting small creators, the 🔗 is in my b👁️o!

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day. 🫶💖

it isn’t easy.

As a college student trying to launch my reptile/oddities/paleontology-inspired art shop, it’s hard not to feel like I’m running out of time. That maybe I should give up, be “more realistic,” and get a “real job.”

Being an artist is easy to romanticize, but I’ve been struggling with a lot of doubt, too.

What if I’ll never get my shop off the ground? What if this doesn’t work? What if I end up being just another starving artist?

Are my dreams impossible, unrealistic—something I should give up on?

It’s hard to keep going despite the doubts. But there are also pockets of peace. The things that inspire me to create are also things that quiet my mind—walking barefoot in the rain, haunting through the woods, curling up with my bearded dragon, standing in the shadow of dinosaur fossils at the natural history museum.

The things that give me life are the things that make life worth living.

And that’s what keeps my dreams alive.

This user, dinosaur movies / documentaries edition!

I relate to almost all of these. I grew up watching Dinosaur Planet, and White Tip was my favorite dinosaur character for a long time. I’ve watched this series so many times that I can say some of the script by heart. Prehistoric Planet and Walking with Monsters are two of my comfort shows, but I didn’t include the second because it technically doesn’t focus on dinosaurs.

HOT TAKE—but I might enjoy the newer Jurassic World series more than the original trilogy. 🫣 Like most of ya’ll though, I firmly believe in Prehistoric Planet supremacy. 🙏 For the Jurassic Park movie franchise, I’d love for them to continue making content. In my opinion, the more dinosaurs the better, no matter how accurate or well written. (However, that doesn’t stop me from making light-hearted fun of un-scientific portrayals. Looking at you, JP velociraptor.) I’d visit the park in a heartbeat if it existed, but I’d probably die or get severely injured trying to pet the dinosaurs. /hj Oh well, I didn’t need an arm, anyway. 😌❤️‍🩹

I’m SUPER HYPED for the WWD revamp, and it’s refreshing to see paleo-shows making a comeback. I’m also still holding out hope for another season of Prehistoric Planet.

Anyway, that’s enough from me. What user boxes do you relate to?

just a bit 🤏 obsessed (i make it my entire personality) 🪲🐛🐍🐢🦎🦖🦴🪦💀✨💫

Hello hi salve!! If we haven’t met, I’m a twenty-something creative with a serious dinosaur addiction, a part time servant to a snarky but loveable bearded dragon, and a college student trying to get my art career off the ground. (This is my obligatory self-plug—if you like my products, go check out my Etsy shop! 🔗 is in my b!o 🥹💖)

If you have “weird” interests like me then HELLO I’VE ADOPTED YOU YOU’RE MY FRIEND NOW; I need more people like you in my life. 🫶

Maybe you relate to this, but I went through a period where I felt stupid for still loving dinosaurs and embarrassed that I enjoy collecting bugs/“dead things.” But as I’ve gotten older, I’m re-learning to love the things that brought childhood me joy. If you’ve ever felt like that too, I hope you know you’re not alone, and that you’re safe here. ❤️‍🩹

Here’s to reclaiming the things we love! 💖🦖🦎🦴✨

(and ppssst, don’t forget to check out my shop before you keep doomscrolling! 👀)
