I’ve been noticing more. The quiet space when the phone’s away and life feels a little more real.

I’ve been trying to pull back from that constant discourse with technology — that loop of always reaching, scrolling, consuming, checking if you’ve been contacted. And when I do, I start seeing it everywhere: people walking, eyes glued down, searching for something they can’t name, connections not with the physical present moment. Yearning for a glimpse into someone else’s life, someone else’s highlight.

I feel contradictful saying this whilst sharing a piece for you, the audience, to watch this. However, my message is that I hope this evokes to you a lesson I continually realise, that the world we look up and around is the real world, the one we touch, smell, and move through. by @bearmizzi

These incredible words hit more than I expected from @mlec.ailler

I’ve been so locked into my office, chasing and improving..
That I forgot how to actually enjoy any of it.

Always onto the next shoot, next level, the next version of me.

But what’s the point of all of it
If you never slow down enough to feel it?

Its not wrong to want or grind for what you want more

But sometimes, stepping back, sitting quietly,
And actually experiencing the life you’re working for needs to happen more.

Still figuring this balance out. Probably won’t ever stop.

On my recent trip home, I found myself reconnecting with the reason I picked up a camera in the first place.

I spent a few days wandering around Valletta and Floriana, places I’m fortunate enough to call home, with no brief, no deliverables, and no pressure to create anything other than photographs that felt right in the moment.

I wasn’t searching for a story or trying to capture everything. I was simply chasing light, slowing down, and paying attention to my countries simply beauties.

A timely reminder that photography doesn’t always need a purpose beyond curiosity, and that sometimes the best images come when you stop looking so hard for them. ✌️ taken in Malta by @bearmizzi

I’ve struggled to find much inspiration in London for a while now.

I think that’s the danger of calling somewhere home. Familiarity slowly replaces curiosity, and before you know it, you’ve stopped experiencing it.

But with a little push, I found myself noticing things again. Little pockets of beauty I’d probably walked past hundreds of times before.

Maybe I’ve found a small piece of that curiosity again.

Or maybe I just remembered to slow down long enough to see it.
