Everbloom 🌄

I can't tell you how many times I repainted this sky. At some point, I wasn't even noticing the changes anymore, just painting and repainting until it finally felt right.

Have you ever gotten stuck in that loop where you tweak something so much you stop seeing it?

I learned a lot with this one though. Big thanks @thetyleredlin for helping me bring it to the next level.

✨ Whispers on Enchanted Winds

The Feathered Realm will only open to those capable of believing in the impossible, where terrain flows like breath itself, and each hill and valley echo the strokes of a language lost to time. Though their names have faded, the whispers of long-dead scribes still linger, carried on enchanted winds that carved the stone and molded the land.

Bonus: scroll to the last slide to see the plant designs 💠

Created for the @iamagco challenge. We were asked to design a landform without any characters. This marks the beginning of a larger project I’m building. 🌿

“I’ll Get To It Tomorrow” 🍳🫗🧫
-
The latest team Rat, Chicken, Cat, Dishes #LBXPaintathon concoction!! We’ve all put some dishes in the sink and promised we’d get to them tomorrow… sometimes, tomorrow is more than one day away, however! 😝

We had a blast working on this piece for this year’s Easter Egg Paint-a-thom themed “It’s Alive!” Most of us other @zizzou_art hadn’t done horror before, and it was a thrilling experiment out of our usual boundaries. Turned out pretty delicious, I’d say!

Scroll to see all the easter eggs we added and the process photos and video!!

Artist Spotlight: Bea Rodriguez✨ #LBXPaintathon Winner ✨ @bearodriguezart

Hey I’m Bea! I’m a self-taught concept and visual development artist, who specializes in environment design but also enjoys drawing characters, props and assets. In my free time, I work with traditional media like gouache, oils and ink. Originally a marine biologist, I draw inspiration from nature, fueling my love for fantasy and organic designs. by @bearodriguezart

First time doing #artvsartist
Past years were about fundamentals and studies. 2025 was the year I shared my first portfolio project and really pushed my work to completion. It was also a year that somehow felt bigger than a year, meeting amazing friends in person and doing things I never thought I’d get to do.
Hoping to keep growing in 2026 ☘️

"Oh Ship! The Map Was Right!" 🏴‍☠️

Team "Rat, Chicken, Cat, Gold's" newest #LBXpaintathon entry! Thinking of possibilities for how to convey "Childhood Adventures," we settled on a direction about the imaginations and drawings of kids coming to life in a glowing way as they dive into their fantasies and search for treasure. We were very inspired by @demizuposuka today and stylized more to reach that feeling of soft, surreal fantasy.

Swipe for close-ups and process! I looove the little doodles we added. 😊

Sharing the house design from my Everbloom project

I wanted it to feel organic and alive, almost like a character of its own. I spent a lot of time refining every detail to capture that personality and warmth.

I'll be posting more of the process soon! 🌿✨

More plants for today 🌿
I can’t help it — I just love painting them. Nature always sneaks into my work somehow, it’s just where I draw most of my inspiration from.
Swipe to see the close ups 💚

The Breathing Rite 🌬️

The winds move with a life of their own. Mystic gusts carve the stone and shape the earth breathing with the memory of an unending rite.

Painting made for the @iamagco challenge. The task was to create a "rite" scene without any characters, something that flowed visually on its own.

I'll admit, I really wanted to sneak a character in there 😅.

✨ Finally sharing something that’s been in the works for some time, my house design for my project Everbloom 🌿💫.

There’s so much behind the scenes work that I’ll be posting in the next days and weeks, and I can’t wait to show you more of the details. This one means a lot to me. Stay tuned!

Thanks to everyone who took the time to critique my work over the past months, it means a lot.
