This past weekend, the BEARS club had the opportunity to support amazing young athletes in the No Limits Tryathlon! The event was filled with encouragement, laughter, and inclusion. Watching these athletes swim, bike, and run was a reminder that there truly are no limits when everyone has the opportunity to participate and be celebrated. Just reminiscing on one of the most inspiring days of the semester! This past March, the BEARS Club participated in the No Limits Tryathlon. We had the opportunity to cheer on and support incredible young athletes as they swam, biked, and crossed the finish line! To make the day even more special, the event took place on World Down Syndrome Day, a day dedicated to celebrating inclusion, advocacy, and the unique abilities of those with Down syndrome. We are forever grateful for this experience! 💚🧸 by @bears_ggc

Another fantastic Super Saturday Series event in the book! This past weekend, the BEARS club volunteered to explain the importance of balance along with grip strength to middle schoolers. We tested our balance through a series of tests and examined our grip strength with a hand dynamometer. We are so grateful to be apart of this opportunity! 💚🧸 by @bears_ggc

Two weeks ago, the BEARS club had the opportunity to hear from GGC alumna @taybtheatc about Athletic Training, along with Dr. Rachel Lee, Program Director, Chair, and Assistant Professor, who spoke on Mercer University’s Master of Athletic Training Program. The BEARS had an amazing time at the Super Saturday Series this past weekend! We kicked things off with an exciting game of Kahoot that helped these middle school students learn their bones in a fun, competitive way. Then we got everyone moving with a step test to explore how heart rate changes as intensity increases. We are so grateful to have been apart of this event and to all that came out with such great energy! 🧸💚 by @bears_ggc

This past weekend our GGC community had the honor in participating in the Paint Gwinnett Pink 5k!💗 We are so proud to be a part of such an amazing cause supporting breast cancer awareness and Northside’s fundraiser!
