⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Review from @theheraldscotland Read the 5-star review in today’s Herald of our ‘goose-bump’ Season Finale Concert in the Glasgow City Halls last weekend! We are delighted that this special concert, which was dedicated to the memory of our former music director Dr James Hunter, as so well-received by our audience ⭐ “This was Bearsden Choir at its absolute finest and Jim Hunter would have been beaming from ear to ear with their performance. The McOpera musicians were outstanding, as were the soloists.” ⭐ “The choir’s performance was magnificent throughout, their parts distinct yet perfectly balanced.” ⭐ “A goose-bump finale called for a well-deserved encore from the audience in the well-filled hall.” 🎶 We are so grateful to have had the pleasure to sing again under the baton of @andrewnunn_, together with the fabulous @mcoperascot ensemble and our soloists soprano @monica_mcghee and baritone @danny_shelvey, to make this concert a night to remember 🔗 Follow the link in our bio to read the full article: heraldscotland.com/life_style/26144282.review-bearsden-choir-glasgow-city-halls-may-2026/ 📷 Photo credit: @julie_howden_photo #BearsdenChoir #BeardenChoirSeason58 #VaughanWilliams #DonaNobisPacem #Johnrutter #Magnificat #RutterMagnificat #VaughanWilliamsFoundation #choralsinging #bearsdenmusic #SATB #choirsofinsta #choralmusic #glasgowchoir #choirconcert #glasgowmusic #bearsdenchoirglasgow #GlasgowWhatsOn #glasgowwestend #glasgowcityhalls #McOpera #MonicaMcGheeSoprano #DanielShelveyBaritone #AndrewNunn #theheraldscotland #theherald #5starreview by @bearsdenchoir

🎉 50 YEARS IN BEARSDEN CHOIR 🎉 It’s a very special milestone year for our longest-standing Bass Kenneth, who joined Bearsden Choir in 1976. That’s 50 years of singing, a lifelong passion for choral music and so many memories made with the choir! 🎵 Kenneth’s first concert with us would have been in November 1976, when we were known as Bearsden Burgh Choir. The programme was Vivaldi’s 'Gloria' and was performed in Wellington Church, Glasgow, which is now our weekly rehearsal venue, under the baton of Renton Thomson. ✨ What a wonderful coincidence, that this year we’re singing Gloria again to mark his 50th anniversary! 🎉 Please join us in congratulating Kenneth for this truly amazing achievement celebrating half a century of choir life! 💙 #bearsdenchoir #ChoirAnniversary #50YearsOfSinging #Choirlife by @bearsdenchoir
