Not many people know this but CJ is my first love. 🖤

He was my companion during the years I’ve lost people close to me to cancer.
The years where I was dissociated on most days due to Grief.

He led me to a tender place where I could feel and heal.

I think back with fondness, the many mornings I spent at the barn those years…the smell of hay, horses, mud, and the early morning walks regulated my nervous system in a way that there wasn’t any real need for words.

My bond with CJ was very different from the one with Bear. CJ kept me from falling apart. I keep Bear from falling apart.

In many ways, CJ rescued me.

He is strong. Majestic. Powerful.
At almost 700kg, he was (still is) the largest horse in the stables.

I was drawn, immediately, to the spirit of this white stallion.

There were no words. Just a deep sense of knowing.

I’ll see you soon 🖤

One of my favourite ceramic bowls, handmade in Italy.

Feeling the edible garden theme lately for his snack plating. How cute is this lady bug? 🐞 🦋 🌷🦀

[Birthday part 1] No DIY cake this year. Instead, I made a charcuterie board feast with a bunch of his favourite things. 🥰

This boy definitely eats well!

🍪Made in Italy chocolate chip dog cookies @doggyebagofficial

👩‍🍳 Freshly cooked: Salmon fillet, shiitake mushrooms, broccoli, honey pineapples, papayas

This is his second bandana ever so I got it customised and embroidered with his name.

Blessed 10th birthday Bearie! 💙🩵 🐻 You’re officially an old man 👨‍🦳

Bear is officially 10 years old! Whuuuut? 🎂🧁🎊🥳

Bear, you’ve showed us that Senior dogs are worth giving a second chance to, are capable of change, learning new habits, showing love & loyalty. 🥹

We’ll be celebrating all through the week (possibly month) so send him your love along the way.

You’ve come so far, Bear. I’m so proud of you 💙🩵

Thank you. We are 400.

The rescue: adoption journey was not an easy one. We put up a long fight but we are here at last, safe, happy and thriving.

Being a ‘pet influencer’ was never our goal from day one and will never be.

The only influence we care about is advocacy for senior dogs/ abandoned dogs. We care about pet nutrition, quality of life, humane training methods with positive reinforcement. .

If we can influence just one person to think twice about buying from shops, and give a shelter dog/ a senior dog/ a reactive dog second chance, I think we’ve won 🐻 🤎 👧

Handmade Spooky Sundae for darling Bear 🍦🍨

Sundae is made from rolling minced duck & veggies into a giant ball + Greek yogurt. His absolute fave!

Topped with this adorable and winged bat shaped dog cookie from @longdogspawtisserie

you’re gone only for an hour but when your dog sees you, he gives you a reunion like you’ve been gone for 5 years 😝

only a dog will miss you like that 🥰

Just a Batik-loving rescue senior living his best, comfortable years ✨

What is Batik? It’s a cloth that symbolises heritage and identity.
Having gone through the hands of Javanese makers, traded by the British and worn by the Peranakan Chinese communities in Singapore.

Officially giving this Batik cloth 10/10 for comfort. 🐾

Tell me I’m not adoptable? 🐶

After being passed around 5 different houses and being the last dog still available at adoption drives, I’m home at last. ♥️
