Because baby, if the “inclusive” community has a guest list, a blacklist, and a group chat dedicated to deciding who gets to belong, just say that shit.

It’s just how everybody develops amnesia when accountability walks in the room.

I’m not arguing for a seat at a table where folks have already decided I’m the problem for asking why the chairs keep disappearing.

No names. No think pieces. No emergency group meeting.

Just ashes, boundaries, and a very clear understanding of who I’m not building with anymore.

Good evening.
I just wanted to take a second and celebrate that as of August 16, 2024, my name change was legalized. It’s been an awesome and long road and the amount of relief I felt leaving the courthouse was priceless.

I said when I changed my name that the person before was who I assumed people wanted me to be, forever betraying and pacifying myself.

Bearykah is healing, evolving, glowing and growing. Thank you for the patience.

I also need to smile with more teeth, apparently.
